Pat I wished I'da known you were out here at the time...coulda got you the tour and met you to give you some insite from my prospective....plus given you more info than the tour does...
but glad you enjoyed it...the plant is the largest manufacturing building in the world and would hold all of disney inside...the plant actually makes it's own weather inside....we can control it with the doors.....the plant is making the models you mentioned but the 787 is the only airplane that is flown in in major parts and assembled here...the 777 is brought in on rail and assembled from pieces...the 767 and 747 is pretty much built here and assembled here....the new 747-8 wings are so long that they will just barely fit inside the factory as they move her from the final assembly to one of the offset bays for installation and testing....
just a few facts I coulda mentioned too you....my offer to anyone here is if you manage to make it out here...let me know and I'll meet you for a beer/soda and take the tour with you.....

I'll be there I hope...the weather conditions have to be perfect...no rain..no winds....no standing water....
we've had a jump in cert issues to get done before the end of the yr.....so...been really busy and couldn't get on here to post anything.....
the high speed taxi went well....they actually lifted the nose wheel off the runway for about 150 ft......we got the experiemental ticket the other day so we're cleared to start flight testing....

Edna
----------------------------------------------------------------------------- There was a man who worked for the Post Office whose job was to process all the mail that had illegible addresses.
One day, a letter came addressed in a shaky handwriting to God with no actual address. He thought he should open it to see what it was about.
The letter read:
Dear God,
I am an 83 year old widow, living on a very small pension.
Yesterday someone stole my purse. It had $100 in it, which was all the money I had until my next pension payment.
Next Sunday is Christmas, and I had invited two of my friends over for dinner. Without that money, I have nothing to buy food with, have no family to turn to, and you are my only hope. Can you please help me? Sincerely, Edna
The postal worker was touched. He showed the letter to all the other workers. Each one dug into his or her wallet and came up with a few dollars.
By the time he made the rounds, he had collected $96, which they put into an envelope and sent to the woman.
The rest of the day, all the workers felt a warm glow thinking of Edna and the dinner she would be able to share with her friends.
Christmas came and went.
A few days later, another letter came from the same old lady to God.
All the workers gathered around while the letter was opened.
It read: Dear God, How can I ever thank you enough for what you did for me?
Because of your gift of love, I was able to fix a glorious dinner for my friends. We had a very nice day and I told my friends of your wonderful gift. By the way, there was $4 missing.
I think it might have been those b#stards at the post office. Sincerely, Edna

Ed had been in the Trucking business for 25 years. Finally tired of the stress, he quits his job and buys 50 acres of land in Alaska as far from humanity as possible. He only gets groceries once a month. Otherwise it's total peace and quiet. After six months or so of almost total isolation, someone knocks on his door. He opens it and a huge, bearded man is standing there. "Name' s Cliff, your neighbor from forty miles up the road. Having a Christmas party Friday night. Thought you might like to come. About 5:00." "Great", says Ed, "after six months out here I'm ready to meet some local folks. Thank you." As Cliff is leaving, he stops. "Gotta warn you. Be some drinking'." "Not a problem" says Ed. "After 25 years in the business, I can drink with the best of 'em." Again, the big man starts to leave and stops. "More 'n' likely gonna be some fighting' too." "Well, I get along with people; I'll be all right. I'll be there. Thanks again." "More'n likely be some wild sex, too." "Now that's really not a problem" says Ed, warming to the idea. "I've been all alone for six months! I'll definitely be there. By the way, what should I wear?" "Don't much matter. Just gonna be the two of us." ;D Steve

HOPE that he has at least 8 bullets in him and that the deputy that shot him doesn't have to go on administrative leave while all the A-hole "do gooders" lament the loss of such an asset to society................. ;D ;D ;D The Old Sarge EDIT CORRECTION.........Huckabee didn't relase the guy, he commuted his sentence from either 95 or 108 years (depending on who you listen to) to 47 years.............. It was the Arkansas Parole board that released him..Also, why was he out on 150,000 bail for teenage rape in Washington......... Might just as well blame the ammo maker - makes as much sense..................... Or his mother for giving birth to him........... While at the NCO academy at Norton in 1990 we heard on the radio where a school security officer shot and killed a rapist on school grounds at 5am, he was attacking one of the cafeteria workers. one shot right between the eyes, radio announcer gave the security officer a BIG thumbs up for a job well done . the next day the city wanted to hang the the guy for shooting the bad guy!!, the town went crazy and backed the security officer and even bailed him out, the city eventually dropped the case. Even the city attorney said the guy saved the city thousands of dollars in court cost, jail fees etc all with a .50 bullet .50cal bullet? ?..holy cow!!!..that shoulda taken his A$$ and blew it threw the next building!!! I don't think the jews would agree with that. He and Stalin were both evil. Murdered millions! I agree with that...he had such hatred for the jews ....yes he thought they were bringing down the economy and all....he then moved his hate to others... attempting to take on all the fronts ..ie..north africa..russia...etc...and he didn't support the troops engaged...but as I said...if he had stopped at the european continent...he could have rebuilt..resupplied and moved on to north africa and russia almost unimpeded..... when I say he was a genius...I don't mean that in admiration...he obviously bit off more than he could chew and wouldn't listen to his advisors....... his bold move to ignore the treaties of Varsie(sp) and rearm Germany and then move into poland...nobody lifted a finger against him and even England thought they made nice with him as Chamberland went back to Germany feeling all fuzzy and warm about his meeting with Chancelor Hitler..... Stalin was insane......no other way about it... Steve

well...I hate to disagree with you about Hitler....he was a genius but was misguided by his advisors....plus he was ill with what some think may have been Parkinson's disease...yes if he'd had taken the time to consolidate his progress and to settle what he had taken...ie france...spain...poland...the chec's....etc...and developed those weapons to it's fullest....he could have very well concoured the world.......his efforts were really fragmented towards the end of the war after the US got into the fight and started bombing his factories.....if he'd had stopped and not taken on the US also...the war would have turned out way different...... he also made the agreement with Japan to tie the US up in the pacific...not realizing just how the US would react to being attacked by japan.....we threw the whole effort into defeating both japan and Germany....he really underestimated the galvanizing effect japan's attack on pearl would have on the american populace...... although he had some of the most brilliant minds in europe working on his war machine....I feel he was ill advised on many fronts and efforts......
just my thoughts on it......I saw that episode on the stealth fighter and it would have definitely been a real game changer IF they had had time to develope the aircraft...

A man and his wife walked into a dentist's office. The man said to the dentist, 'Doc, I'm in one hell of a hurry. I have two buddies sitting out in my car waiting for us to go play golf, so forget about the anesthetic and just pull the tooth and be done with it. We have a 10:00 AM tee time at the best golf course in town and it's 9:30 already. I don't have time to wait for the anesthetic to work!' The dentist thought to himself, 'My goodness, this is surely a very brave man asking to have his tooth pulled without using anything to kill the pain.' So the dentist asks him, 'Which tooth is it sir? The man turned to his wife and said, 'Open your mouth Honey, and show him.' Steve

6 Truths of Life 1. You cannot touch all your top teeth with your tongue. 2. All idiots, after reading the first truth, will try it. 3. And discover that The first truth is a lie. 4. You're smiling now because you're an idiot. 5. You soon will forward this to another idiot. 6. There's still a stupid smile on your face. I apologize about this . I'm an idiot too and I needed company ... :razz Steve

Did you know: A. That the words "race car" spelled backward still spells "race car?" B. That "eat" is the only word that if you take the 1st letter and move it to the last, it spells its past tense "ate?" C. And have you noticed that if you rearrange the letters in "illegal immigrants" and add just a few more letters, it spells out: "Go home you free-loading, benefit-grabbing, welfare spawn-producing, violent, non-English speaking (edit) and take those other hairy-faced, sandal- wearing, bomb-making, goat-loving, raggedy-ass b#stards with you?" How weird is that??? : :salute Steve
