I never really liked the terminology "Old Farts" but this makes me feel better about it. And if you aren't one, I'll bet you know one! I got this from an "Old Fart" friend of mine!
OLD FART PRIDE I'm passing this on as I did not want to be the only 'old fart' receiving it. Actually, it's not a bad thing to be called, as you will see.
Old Farts are easy to spot at sporting events; during the playing of the National Anthem, Old Farts remove their caps and stand at attention and sing without embarrassment. They know the words and believe in them. Old Farts remember World War II, Pearl Harbor Guadalcanal , Normandy and Hitler. They remember the Atomic Age, the Korean War, The Cold War, the Jet Age and the Moon Landing. They remember the 50 plus Peacekeeping Missions from 1945 to 2005, not to mention Vietnam . If you bump into an Old Fart on the sidewalk he will apologize. If you pass an Old Fart on the street, he will nod or tip his cap to a lady. Old Farts trust strangers and are polite, particularly to women. Old Farts hold the door for the next person and always, when walking, make certain the lady is on the inside for protection. Old Farts get embarrassed if someone curses in front of women and children and they don't like any filth or dirty language on TV or in movies. Old Farts have moral courage and personal integrity. They seldom brag unless it's about their children or grandchildren. It's the Old Farts who know our great country is protected, not by politicians, but by the young men and women in the Air Force, Army, Navy and RCMP, serving their country.
This country needs Old Farts with their work ethic, sense of responsibility, pride in their country and decent values.
We need them now more than ever.
Thank Goodness for Old Farts!
Pass this on to all the "Old Farts" you know.
I was taught to respect my elders. It's just getting harder to find them.

A belated Thank You, Jim. Also, for being retired, I find I am busier now than when I was working and that was quite a while ago!
Enough excuses. I want to make a real effort to visit here more often because the company is nicer here. Mark O is a regular there so I do know somebody there.
I make no promises, but I will try to get here a little more often. I like it here but usually run out of time. Thanks for the update!!!!! BTW, we are open 24 hours a day also.

Three strangers strike up a conversation in the airport lounge in Bozeman, Montana , awaiting their flights. One is an American Indian, passing thru from Lame Deer. Another is a cowboy on his way to Billings for a livestock show. And the third is a fundamentalist Arab student from the Middle East, newly arrived at Montana State University Their discussion drifts to their diverse cultures. Soon, the two Westerners learn that the Arab is a devout, radical Muslim and the conversation falls into an uneasy lull. The cowboy leans back in his chair, crosses his boots on a magazine table and tips his big sweat-stained hat forward over his face. The wind outside is blowing tumbleweeds around and the old windsock is flapping, but still no plane comes. Finally, the American Indian clears his throat and softly speaks. "At one time here, my people were many, but sadly, now we are few." The Muslim student raises an eyebrow and leans forward, "Once my people were few," he sneers, "and now we are many. Why do you suppose that is?" The Montana cowboy shifts his toothpick to one side of his mouth, and from the darkness beneath his Stetson says in a drawl, "That's 'cause we ain't played Cowboys and Muslims yet, but I do believe it's a-comin".
Obama said that anyone who forwards this is a racist.........so to avoid offending anyone just delete it. I know I can count on you to do the right thing!

Unable to "PASTE"... Drop down or menu when you right click has no "PASTE" provisions. Can't copy from e mail and paste, even though right click menu has a PASTE application... Doesn't work in ADD IMAGE TO POST.. However, I was able to drag Grannie from an email to the Add Image menu and click on UPLOAD... I opened my pictures, moved it to the right, clicked on "Add Image" and drug 043 over to the Add Image menu and then clicked UPLOAD..... AS OF NOW I have expended all of my computer literacy(?)

Nope... click on add image, click on "browse your computer", it should take you to "my pictures" folder, highlite the image you want to post, click open or save which ever comes up lower right corner, then this new outstanding program will ask you if you want to upload image? Well duh, didn't go through this and not do it, so, click on "UPLOAD" And this is what you get.....

Excessive steps to do what was simple......... Use to upload by itself, now you have to instruct it to do so, you have to tell it to go to your pictures, which the obsolete system did automatically. Where else would you go to add an IMAGE to your post? When something is simple AND works, what in hell is wrong with leaving it alone?

Been without my computer for a few days and sharing Belinda's. Geeksquad @ Bestbuy installed Win 10 not long ago and the system quite working. Called Geeksquad and they had me try 4 things to get it going. It would open to the desktop but do nothing after that. They said that windows 10 was corrupted and bring it in. I went computer shopping (Laptop) and stopped at Staples in Silverdale. I looked around and got answers to my questions and explained my troubles. I said I was taking the laptop back to Bestbuy and he asked if I'd like him to take a look at it. I said sure. I a minute or less he had it figured out and working. He then went through the system and showed me where the CPU was operating at 99% and that indicated the drive was close to failing. I said, well I'll keep shopping for a new computer with a SSD. He informed me he could install a SSD inplace of my drive and the computer would work fine and boot-up faster, but internet speed would depend on my internet provider. So for 64 bucks I'll have the new SSD installed next week. BTW, Geeksquad charges to install win 10 and Staples said they have been doing that for free as it does not cost them so why should it cost the customer. Guess Bestbuy/Geeksquad lost me as a customer and Staples/OfficeDepot gains one.
In the future I do plan on getting me a new laptop with SSD and more power (Warp Speed) The older we get, the faster we want our computers and Kaopectate to work....... How come??

Well my laptop went bad. Be sharing Belinda's foe awhile so you will see me less in here. Geeksquad said looks like win 10 got corrupted. Computer boots up to desktop but then nothing else will open. Plan to replace it with a new one with a SSD. There is a new and explosive hack out there that holds your computer hostage called "notepad" and it comes in an email. Don't open anything with notepad in the subject- unplug the computer as soon as it pops up, even if it is from a trusted source. It wipes out the hard drive and corrupts everything else. This all I know about it. Also was told not to plug in any external hard drives of any kind, as it will corrupt them as well.

Adart,,, Try my book its on CD and you can make the print as large as you like. Its 315 pages and has maybe 60 or more pictures in it including a UFO I saw over Germany about 1981. Lots of stories. Two publishers wanted to publish it but would only allow 10 pictures and they would be black & white. I turned them down and just sell for a $10 donation and that includes shipping. Anyone Interested just send me a private message for details. adart, get the book, and when you set down to read it, make sure your wife will get you a fresh cup of coffee when you request it, along with some sandwiches.... Most GIs can eat and read at the same time. The Old Sarge

www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/jun/20/air-force-vet-removed-ceremony-god-speech/Quoted from Pastor Scanlon's earlier post.... " Really, nah, this couldn’t happen in America- could it? Nah, we got too many constitutional safeguards in place for this to happen…. Nah, it couldn’t happen- we have Obama, Holder, Mueller, Napalitano, Soto whats her name and Kegan as Sgts. of the Guard providing us with the utmost of protection against all enemies; foreign and DOMESTIC. Right? end of quote This is why I spent time all over the world wearing OD, Sage Green, OD, khakis, 505s, 1505, and various shades of AF Blue throughout 25 plus years? WTF was I thinking of?? Are there any offspring from the Senior Airmen and SSgts that I taught at Williams AFB Leadership Academy involved in this? Where did we, the military of the past go wrong in what we instilled in those that came after us?
