It's not a F-106 but I did have many of hours of fun flying for maintenance in them over Europe. The OV-10A Bronco is a great aircraft to fly in. Great for FAC work. <a href="http://img515.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ov10asembachabrampng8.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/959/ov10asembachabrampng8.th.jpg" border="0" alt="Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us" /></a> <a href="http://img515.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ov10asinflightoverspaingf8.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/6914/ov10asinflightoverspaingf8.th.jpg" border="0" alt="Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us" /></a>

Anyone give me some tips on how to post better photo's. ;D Hi Bullhunter, Go to your full size image on imageshack. Click on Get Linking Code. Scroll down to where it says Hotlink for forums (1). Highlight that URL and copy it and paste it into your message on the F-106 Forum. That should give you a full size picture on the F-106 Forum post. If you want to show a thumbnail on the F-106 Forum that links to the full size picture back at imageshack then highlight the line that says Thumbnail for forums (1). You'll get this You were in the right church but the wrong pew :yellowbeer: Thanks, Pat Perry 456th FIS PS: It's probably a good idea to use the linked thumbnail shots because sometimes the pictures people store are way bigger than the margins on this page and it blows the mind of our Webmasters program (ie: readers have to scroll right to see the whole picture and every other post on the page gets as wide as the image. That's a bummer when you tune into the top 30 most recent posts and have to scroll right and left until that big sucker with the picture becomes number 31 and finally gets off the page.

Thanks Pat. I'll keep all that in mind. Want to keep it simple for the webmaster program. I really enjoyed the OV-10A Bronco for 4 years in West Germany. Flew for maintenance and racked up lots of flight hours doing Functional Check Flights (FCF), flew to recover broke aircraft, and even a flight to the Spanish Bomb Range. Have hundreds of photo's of aircraft and places. Some can be viewed at,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Worked OV-10's armament in Korea back in 1982. They were a lot more fun to work on than the F-4E's (hated them). They were replaced with OA-37s about 8 months after I arrived. I kept waiting for the SP's to leave one of their M-60s alone for a minute in the chow hall. I could have left it for them in a bunch of little pieces.

The pilot in me says that the OV-10 would be a fun airplane to fly.

The pilot in you is right! I'm not a pilot and loved to go up in them. It was a bonus when the pilot let us fly from the back seat.

bullhunter, he volado muchas veces en Zaragoza y, asimismo, he bombardeado en "Las Bardenas" otras tantas.

Two questions about the Mohawk: 1. Did the left seat have throttles/prop controls on the left wall so the pilot could fly the stick right-handed? 2. Why were the engines each canted outboard about 5 degrees?

Closer wingtank shot of Mt. Rainers Top. We circled it maybe 6 or 8 times and also did a barrow roll over the top. Will always remember that flight and the stick time the pilot gave me.

i never got stick time, but,i enjoyed all the manuvers the pilots went thru.. i liked the landings...they would come over the field shoot up and then rollover...i remember looking down the chimney of a house in southgate, just outside the fence.. then they would pull out and line up w/the runway...that was a bumpy runway.. :yellowbeer:

Click on to enlarge. Photo is out of an New Assignment Book I received when I transfered from Norton AFB, CA to Griffiss AFB, NY about 1974. Believe it's a 49th FIS bird (B model) refueling along one of the great lakes. The next photo I took of the KC-135 Tanker ramp in winter. The 2 tankers on the left facing forward are the EWO Alert Force Tankers.
