Wishing you all the best and adding a prayer as well. Hope they find a reason, and a good fix soon. Lorin

well....I'm home....boy...what a mess I am....so...headed to the hospital where we met the oncologist ...stuck me face down on the table...numbed me up double dosed with pain killer and then stuck the sewer pipe into the back of my left hip!!!....he said I will feel pressure!!
HELL NO!!..THAT B#TCH HURT LIKE NOTHING I'D EVER FELT...had me crying like a little girl....OMG!!...anyone that says it's not so bad will be one of the biggest liars on the planet.....
they got a partial sample and not sure if it was enough to get a good biopsy...so...tomorrow morning I have to go back ...get my butt totally knocked out to get a good sample....wish me luck on that tomorrow.......
that's the latest .....

well..since they got a dry pull yesterday on the bone marrow, I had to go in to get a good sample...my agreement was I didn't want to know who I or they were for several hrs.....which involved massive drugs.....they were great...from the girl that put the iv in to the tech that administrated the all the happy drugs.....they wheeled me into the procedure room and hooked me up to a couple of computers and monitors ...waited for the doc that was running a bit late, so when he finally showed up..the tech said...here's your happy drugs.....and the last thing I remember ..was my eyeballs rolling into the back of my head
after all the drugs wore off........they released me to go home where I realized what it's like to be a whale...and shot in the a$$ by a big friggin harpoon!!!...even with drugs this thing hurts..... we'll know the results on monday when we meet up with the doc.....
keep those prayers and thoughts coming....
Steve

Please be in much prayer for Steve and Marsha.
I talked to both of them a few minutes ago.
He is in a Seattle hospital, and will be for a time.
He has a very aggressive form of Leukemia, and will begin a regimen of chemotherapy to-morrow.
The doctor tells him he has a 50/50 chance of long-term survival.
He has a very good attitude, he was laughing as we talked, which will help.
He has a lot of confidence in his doctor and the hospital staff.
He asked me to thank all of you for your prayers and kind thoughts.
Pastor Jim

Just finally knowing what you're facing is half the battle. The other half is the treatment and the attitude, the latter being most important of all, so said my cancer doc back in 2004. As the care giver, Marsha is in for a difficult time, too. So our prayers will be for both of them. The doc giving him a 50/50 long term survival chance is a good sign that he knows what he is fighting and thinks that Steve has the "tude" to endure and recover. At a time like this it's good to recount your blessings to keep things in perspective. That's the part about making lemonade when life gives you a big fat lemon. Squeeze hard Steve! Pat P.
