Gene I believe you took this also. You were often called to the C-130 engine shop to take pictures of the QEC Kit Beams and FOD. I'm in the middle center row.
Gary, when were you in 62 FMS? I was in 62 AMS from 1980-1983. I initially ran C-130 Simulators then was Branch Chief for both C-130 and C-141. I was lead for installation of the "new" C-130 Sim. Did you do engine run up training on C-130 Sims? Lorin
According to the byline under the photo, A1c MacFarland took the photo. Mystery solved

I can remember many folks talking on here about seeing F-106's in Europe. We all know sixes were never stationed in Europe. So when I saw these photo's I can see why some folks mistook these birds for F-106's. A3 Dassault mirage III
Weather here in Ohio is typical summer day. 80 degrees now with high near 87. Sunny now, showers later in evening.
Gas was $2.65 yesterday, but jumped back to $2.85 today. Lorin.

liked some of the "6" photos.. Thanks Gene. Bruce Gordon can tell stories like this for hours. He has been to all our All Troops F-106 Reunions and will be at Tucson in 2019. He has written several books and done a lot of video presentations on YouTube. Thanks, Pat P.

I hadn't seen this one before F-106A 57-2458 of the 186 FIS, 120th FIG Montana ANG hits a grain elevator during the Labor Day Parade 1979 in Dillon MT. The Sixes were doing a fly-over for a local parade, the pair started the run too low and didn't realize they were too close, and too low to avoid hitting the grain silo at the end of main street. impact was at 100' AGL. F-106A 57-2458 of the 186 FIS, 120th FIG Montana ANG, Capt. Joel Orren Rude was killed after ejecting from the aircraft. but was outside the parameters of the ejection seat, and was killed, as his chute had no time to deploy. Lorin
