I took this at Norton AFB, CA 1972. Pair of F-106's departing the base. Most excitement all month.

I stumbled upon these today. They were highlight of a USAF Quiz on Goggle. It's very weird that they have no tail numbers of body number. I am doughtful of there realizm. It's also hard to see a pilot on cockpit. I think someone did some computer art. Lorin

Lorin, perhaps the reason the tail numbers are missing is because the tail numbers would be the same on all three if he used Photoshop to place them in formation. It's a good job if it was Photo shopped, except for the missing tail numbers.

Late, TAC markings of 57-2477 during its time with the 84th FIS. Does anyone remember the design on the speed brakes during that time? I know they had the bicentennial logo there in 1976, but this is obviously different. Mark O

Is the speed brake decal a National Guard emblem? Lorin

Nope. (84th was active duty.) I found out it's actually just a stylized "84th"! Simple as that! Trying to find a pic. Mark O

MOW posted this on the Convair F-106 Delta Dart FaceBook page. It's about the photo section on the main website. Pat P.
DID U KNOW - About the PHOTO SIZE button on the websites photo gallery? Not every photo has it available if the photo displayed on your screen is already the largest BUT many have larger versions available. The photo gallery is at www.f-106deltadart.com/piwigo/ which of course is the photo gallery of www.f-106deltadart.com/

image sharingYea, it surprises me how many people don't look or click around on things in the photo gallery to see what functions are there. SLIDE SHOW is another many don't find.

Gene I believe you took this also. You were often called to the C-130 engine shop to take pictures of the QEC Kit Beams and FOD. I'm in the middle center row.

Gary, when were you in 62 FMS? I was in 62 AMS from 1980-1983. I initially ran C-130 Simulators then was Branch Chief for both C-130 and C-141. I was lead for installation of the "new" C-130 Sim. Did you do engine run up training on C-130 Sims? Lorin
