Too bad it's not a 318th bird with the star burst on the tail.

Hello guys, Mark Karvon here. I've been a lurker in the forum for some time and a frequent visitor to the website in general. It is a super place with very thorough information. A Six lover's dream! I was just perusing through today and was surprised to find a link posted to my website so I thought I'd drop a line. Thank you very much Mark; I appreciate that. Thanks for the kind comments on my painting. I really enjoyed doing that one. It's such a fine looking airplane from any angle. They just don't design them that way any more. Note I am able to change the markings and details of the airplane to suit any unit. I have done a couple that way for some former crew chiefs; one from the 87th FIS and the other from the 318th FIS. -Mark

I know there is at least one or two others of us that would like to see the painting with the 27th colors. Maybe 043?

Thanks guys. That stylized eagle on the tail of the 49th will look great. The yellow and black checkerboard pattern of the 27th would look real sharp too.

Do you do these with photo editing software? If so, what kind? I use PhotoImpact 10 and getting that perspective correct is a very difficult task with my old age jitters. It would be nice to see one of these with 456th FIS colors on tail number 57-2456 www.elite.net/castle-air/convairf106.htmlBy the way, what do you charge for a custom print like this? Here's you web site in case some folks haven't seen it yet - very nice! www.markkarvon.com/Welcome to the forum and please show us some of your other works of art that may not be on your web site. Thanks, Pat Perry 456th FIS 66-68

Thanks, Pat Perry 456th FIS 66-68 Thank you very much Pat. For my digital paintings I use a combination of Corel Painter Essentials and Adobe Photoshop Elements to do my work. I use Corel to do the actual painting and Photoshop for laying out the composition and the detail work. To rework an existing painting I charge $50 plus the price of the print. For a completely original painting the price is higher. It varies depending on the finished print size and the complexity of the painting. For anyone interested, just shoot me an e-mail or private message. Let me know what you have in mind. I am currently working on another painting which features a two ship formation of the F-106 on patrol with a sunset background. I'll post that one when I finish it. Here's one that's not on the website. The grandaddy of them all... edit: corrected spelling on two words Pat P.

You should find the picture sizes and prices. I am also in for a print of 043 in the 27th colors. Mark Karvon should be able to tell us what we need to do to get the 27th version of the print.
