I am a 60-year-old Air Force brat who researches UFO activity at nuclear weapons sites. On September 27, 2010, I sponsored a press conference in Washington D.C. at which former or retired Air Force officers divulged their knowledge of UFO incursions at ICBM sites at Malmstrom, F.E. Warren, and Walker AFBs during the Cold War era. The event was streamed live by CNN and a video of it may be viewed at:
The Freedom of Information Act has resulted in the release of hundreds of documents about UFO activity at nuclear weapons sites. The attached NORAD log entries concern UFOs near Malmstrom's ICBM sites in November 1975 and note that F-106s unsuccessfully attempted to intercept the objects.
I am asking that pilots who were involved in, or aware of such intercept missions, at Malmstrom and elsewhere, to contact me.

Wow! Welcome to the Six site, and good luck on your search. I have to say your topic reminds me of the late Senator Barry Goldwater and his fascination with UFO's, which I'm sure you are very familiar with. This short youtube clip pretty much sums up Senator Goldwater's attempts to discover "the truth." Me? I really don't know.

Thanks, Mark. My father and grandfather were both career military. All of my sources--who support my efforts wholeheartedly--are ex-military. So, my quest for the facts is not anti-military, as some of my critics charge.
The fact that Senator Goldwater also sought the truth and spoke out about the rumors he had heard of a crashed UFO being stored at WPAFB is ample evidence that highly credible persons--knowledgeable Washington insiders--have urged the government come clean on this issue, in addition to average folks such as myself.
Another example: Former CIA official Victor Marchetti has stated that while he was at the agency in the 1970s, he heard persistent rumors of crashed UFOs (plural) some of which had been shot down by military aircraft. So, the issue of intercept attempts of UFOs, as mentioned in the NORAD logs I provided, is a compelling matter.
I am primarily interested in scrambles relating to UFO activity at our nuclear weapons sites and hope to hear from some of the persons posting on this forum, either on or off the record. Please write to me at hastings444@kitcarson.net. Your responses will be kept strictly confidential unless you permit me to publish them.
I should point out that declassified KGB documents and witness testimony from former Soviet Army officers confirm that UFOs monitored and even tampered with Russian nukes too. So, those who pilot these craft are not playing favorites. As I say in the video of the press conference, I think someone has been warning Washington and Moscow that we are playing with fire by possessing and threatening to use nuclear weapons in warfare.
Finally, the latest reports of UFO incursions at ICBM sites in Montana come from civilians living nearby. They tell me that sightings have occurred within the last year. So, this is not ancient history but an ongoing situation.

When I worked in Maintenance debriefing in the 318th FIS in the late 1970's, one night the alert birds were scrambled to intercept a light over Tacoma. When they returned the pilots laughed about the UFO as they found nothing. I cannot remember who the pilots were or exactly when this happened, but it did happen.

Duy, That was in 1977 or 78. I think I recall that evening. It was pretty much kept quiet. The alert birds were not gone long. I also remember the scramble of the alert birds when a Soviet Bear Bomber show up off the coast. Rumor was our birds flew with it and the Soviet pilots got distracted by the activity and wondered inside our limit by a mile. I don't know how true it is as I heard it third ear. WE must know eachother as I went into debrief often on engine write-ups.

I know they were looking for a light over Tacoma because that is what they said when they were in Debrief. We no doubt saw each other many times. I was in that job for years & was NCOIC for some years as well.

Who here has seen a UFO ? I can truely say I have, and I took a picture of it during a USAF mission in an OV-10A Bronco from the co-pilots seat. It came into my view from our 2'oclock position abit lower and passed by off and under our right wing between maybe 200 and 500 yards away. I usually would call out other traffic to the pilot as our Bronco didn't have radar. (You know, see and be seen) But that was an object I'd never seen before and I was mesmorized by it. I had my Kodak 110 pocket camera with me so I snapped a picture of it as it went past. Then I asked the pilot if he had seen it. He replied in a shaken voice, "Yes, and we will never talk about it!" After that remark I didn't tell him I took a picture of it. With in a few minutes we heard an emergancy Mayday call. An F-15 went down and pilot ejected. We were asked to divert back and assist with SAR of F-15 pilot. My pilot advised we were at bingo fuel and had to RTB. Did a pair of alert F-15's tangle with that UFO? Was it all by chance? Who the heck knows and the public will never be told. I just know what I saw and have a photo to prove it. This past hunting trip in September 3 of my hunting buddies saw a UFO over the Goat Rocks Wilderness and Mt. Gilbert in WA State. One was in a tree stand and the other two were walking together on a logging road. They were 2 miles apart. I slept in that morning - or I'd have another UFO picture. Robert Hastings, feel free to contact me if you want to talk about the incident.

Over the past few weeks there seems to have been an increase in unknown lights in the sky.
There have been both day and night sightings, with lots of pictures and videos.
Within a couple days of each other, there were sightings in New York City, and El Paso, Texas.
There have been others, as well.
What significance the varied locations have, I don't pretend to know, or even venture a guess.
When I lived in Overton, Nevada, there were numerous sightings, over a number of years, of lights and other objects in the night and twilight sky.
If you look at a map of Nevada, you will see the proximity of Overton to Area 51, and the vast areas of wilderness between Area 51 and the Mexican border to the South, and on in to Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and West Texas.
If you don't know where Area 51 is, find Rachael. Then find Tonopah. Go about half-way between them, and head North to a large mountain valley. I have never tried to find it on Google Earth. Maybe it is there.
Rumours for many years about the Aurora Project have circulated, concerning some of the night sightings.
Unless, and until, our government, and others, open the "Blue Book" to the public, we likely will never find out what they know, and when they knew it.
I am writing this from Overton, Nevada, but have not seen anything in the sky that was not supposed to be there.
Frodo Lives.

Maybe some nation fired off a submarine borne missle to get our attention. Or maybe ? Frodo Lives. Jim Too :god_bless_usa The below is from KTVU-2 in Oakland, California.Pentagon Can't Explain 'Missile' Off CaliforniaPosted: 7:28 pm PST November 9, 2010 WASHINGTON -- The Pentagon said Tuesday it did not know what created a vapor trail that crossed the skies off the Southern California coast and resembled a missile launch. Video posted on the CBS News website shows an object flying through the evening sky Monday that left a large contrail, or vapor trail. A news helicopter owned by KCBS, a CBS affiliate in Los Angeles, shot the video. Pentagon officials were stumped by the event. "Nobody within the Department of Defense that we've reached out to has been able to explain what this contrail is, where it came from," Pentagon spokesman Col. Dave Lapan said. While the vapor cloud captured on video resembled that created by a rocket in flight, military officials said they didn't know of any launches in the area. One expert called it an optical illusion. "It's an airplane that is heading toward the camera and the contrail is illuminated by the setting sun," said John Pike, director of the U.S.-based security analyst group globalsecurity.org. The North American Aerospace Defense Command, or NORAD, issued a statement jointly with the U.S. Northern Command, or NORTHCOM, saying no Department of Defense entities reported a missile launch -- scheduled or inadvertent -- at the time of the contrail, and no foreign military missile launch was detected. NORAD said it determined there was no threat to the U.S. homeland. The Federal Aviation Administration ran radar replays from Monday afternoon and they "did not reveal any fast-moving, unidentified targets," the statement said. No pilots reported unusual sightings to the FAA. NORTHCOM is the U.S. defense command and NORAD is a U.S.-Canadian organization charged with protecting the U.S. from the threat of missiles or hostile aircraft. Pike said the object could not have been a rocket because it appeared to alter its course. "The local station chopped up the video and so it's hard to watch it continuously," Pike said. "But at one place you can see it has changed course -- rockets don't do that." Pike said he didn't understand why the military had not recognized the contrail of an aircraft. "The Air Force must ... understand how contrails are formed," he said. "Why they can't get some major out to belabor the obvious, I don't know." Copyright 2010 by KTVU.com. Jim, on Google Earth, just search for area 51. It takes you right to groom lake, northwest of Las Vegas.

Speaking of UFO's, I notice falconkeeper's Unfound Forum Object in the way of no avatar and after 83 posts in the forum I think enough time has past... so until you find a better one I made you one.

Just to let you know, I never worked around F-16s. My Falcons were all AIM-4s. Do you have a master missileman badge?

Pat, I can't seem to get that badge as my avatar. How do I do that? Several ways: 1- Ask our webmaster (Pat McGee) to put the avatar of your choice in his selection file so you can select it in your profile page from the many selections Pat has supplied. This is the easiest way and then others can use it if they like. Pat McGee may have to shrink it first (see below). 2- The second way is to put your selected photo in your picture storage website and copy the URL for it. The go to your profile page and use the Avatar URL box to paste the URL into. There's a note next to that Avatar URL box that says: "If you would like to use your own custom avatar, enter the full http:// URL to it in this box. You can specify your own custom width and height for your avatar. Avatars must be no more than 100x100 pixels." Size matters! This 100x100 pixel size limit may make your Missile Avatar small in vertical height. Tell me which one you want resized and I'll shrink it and put it on the Forum picture storage page. Then you can try to use that URL as the source for your Avatar in your profile page. I've never tried it this way before, but if it doesn't work we'll fall back to putting the picture on your picture storage site using that URL as a source and that should work fine. Let me know if I have totally confused you Pat P. NEVER MIND - YOU DONE GOOD! AND I SEE THAT PAT MADE IT AVAILABLE FOR OTHERS TO USE - WHAT A GUY!
