From the pictures it doesn't appear that the C-135 has a refueling boom, nor does it appear to have any of the EC/RC Electronics appendices to the fuselage. What is interesting is it is equipped with Winglets. Winglets are vertical additions to the wingtips to provide better fuel economy. So it could be one of looking glass aircraft which are the flying command post variants of C-135. The looking glass aircraft which regularly fly into WPAFB are painted in same colors as AF One. Blue and white. So I don't know what you have pictures of. Thanks for sharing Gary. Lorin

Great picture. Never seen a shot in the air like that. Is that really a picture or a graphic rendition? I have seen several similar that seem too good to be picture. What say Gene? You were a six picture expert. Lorin

kinda hard to render the bright reflections. Also someplace I have seen a static picture of a nude SixWhen enlarged to 500% it pixelates at the same rate except at the top of the vert stab which could have been slight movement vs shutter speed. If it's a PhotoShop insert of a CGI generated image, it's a good one. Note the cloud reflections in the bare metal on the bottom of wing tanks and the shadows are corresponding to the sun. That would be pretty hard to reproduce. Wish I could read the picture signers name on lower left. Pat P

I'll be on McChord for the next 3 or 4 days until Belinda is released to go home after her knee replacement surgery. I will try and get some aircraft pictures of the C-17's, transit aircraft, and the museum birds. Plus a few good shots of Mount Rainer. Would you like that ?

Nice pictures Gary. So how did the surgery go? Does the doctor feel that he got it right this time? Belinda still in prayers. Lorin

Loren,,,,,,,The Army Surgeon was awesome. He had quite a mess to fix that the civilian damaged. So much reconstruction was done that this new knee is in forever. Belinda can never get an infection in it because it can't be changed. If an infection can't be cured then she looses her leg. We have contacted a lawyer to go after the civilian surgeon.

Glad to hear that she's got it finished and prayers continue for speedy and complete recovery. It's been 7 months since I had my knee replaced. I set records for recovery up to the 85-90% mark. But it stopped there. It works good, it's not all that much residual pain, but I still have a little swelling around knee above and below. My USAF doctor left service and his replacement said it could take up to a year for full recovery. Anyone thinking about knee replacement it is well worth the effort. There is pain involved for first week or so and it lessens as PT goes on. But the will give you some good pain killers. I would suggest exercises prior to surgery to strengthen it. That helps in a faster recovery. Again pass on the blessings to wife. When will she start her PT work? Lorin
