:scratch_head Interesting picture, Gene. It begs some questions. What is the reason for the damage to the nose of the Herky? It has some obvious fire damage on the nose. Where is the Herky going? Is the Herky owned by Maximus? Maximus Air Cargo is 95 percent owned by Abu Dahbi Airline. Which means it is owned by the royal family of that country. Seems to me that an air cargo carrier that owns Russian and French cargo birds is not going to make our country any money. Oh, well! Maybe our new king is going to make a deal with them to carry our mail. But, only five days a week and raise the postage, again, to pay for it. Oh, yeah! Postage goes up two cents on 1 May. So buy lots of "Forever" stamps. :god_bless_usa

Hey Gene, I'll bet you a dollar this is the same C-130 you see being loaded into that Russian goliath. I took these photos last summer at an undisclosed air base "over there". It's not a USAF Herk, and I'll just hold close the info I do have until I confirm the info has been released. You guys know the deal! I can say it sat there for quite some time and as far as I know it was not lost to hostile fire. Something mechanical or operator error. Mark

i'll see if i can't scare up a few answers to those questions...
its a 60K tunner backed in...and the 124 doesn't have a roller system...
and we've had rusky contract 124's at mcchord hauling our equipment to the desert...
