Well Bill, "You do it very carefully!"
With the joke aside. I use ImageShack. It takes a few mouse movements and clicks but it gets the job done. I think a few others in here us PhotoBucket. From what I'm hearing PhotoBucket has some good benifits like picture storing off site. That is if you house burns your photos are saved else where. I'm still learning about it and will continune to use ImageShack until I learn PhotoBucket.
Whatever program you choose good luck.

ok i give up how can i add photos to this mess. Bill, Another hosting site is www.webshots.com. They offer a free and a premium membership. I have used them for years and have over 5000 pictures there with over 300,000 views. You can link to a picture at web shots from this forum. Here's an example. Small: Medium: Large: You can click on them and go to the album on webshots. If I can do it, I know you can. Cheers, Pat Perry 456th FIS

Hey Bill, I am new to this site to and I used photobucket to upload my picture. Once you upload the picture you just place your pointer on it and a pop up appears with the code you will paste into your post on here. You would select the IMG Code from Photobucket. Good luck! Robin :teacher

Hi Gene: Are you a free member or a Pro member of Mediafire? If you started out with free membership and switched to Pro (with a fee) your liinks may have gotten broken in the change over? It appears that only Pro members get the feature of Hot Links. I think my WebShots account is the same way. I have been a paying member of WebShots since my stored pictures is over 5000. Let me know if you are a Pro member at mediafire and we'll figure out how to proceed with fixing your links to pictures. Thanks, Pat P. Free FeaturesUnlimited storage Up to 100MB per file Unlimited uploads Unlimited downloads Unlimited bandwidth Image galleries No sign up required No software to install Read the FAQs MediaPro Features Direct/Hot link to files Up to 10GB per file Redundant backups No Ads Rollover bandwidth SSL encryption Advanced statistics Priority support Free Features Unlimited storage Up to 100MB per file Unlimited uploads Unlimited downloads Unlimited bandwidth Image galleries No sign up required No software to install Read the FAQs This was in the FAQs Unfortunately, we are unable to offer direct linking for free accounts because MediaFire's free service is advertising supported and direct linking completely bypasses our site.

I've had problems with any pix with too high resolution. If the memory needed to copy the picture is too high (I think over 1 gig) it wont copy, by going to Photobuck I can adjust the resolution down to where it is accepted. I dont know whether these functions are available everywhere, and unfortunately I've lost PhotoSuite and a few other nice composers, but that's the secret.
I've had all my digital cameras set on max resolution for printing, and cuz I dont need 1000 pix on a 4 meg card. So now I'm using a different setting for pix for this site, but still have to adjust.
You'll feel like a genius once you get the first one done, but dont forget, cuz you'll feel like an idiot asking again.

This is to reduce file storage space for attachments on the ProBoards servers while putting a thumbnail picture on your post that users can click and see the larger version and even download it for printing. I use the FINE setting on my camera and that usually produces a less than 1 meg image that is still good quality for an 8x10 print. If I want to upload a print larger than 1 meg, I reduce the size with my photo editor software. The advantage of using the forum's Attachment feature is that the picture will always be there with your post. If you always posted pics using your own photo webhost and you cancel your account, all your pictures embeded in your posts would have broken links and would no longer show up on the forum. I use both the forum's Attachment feature and my WebShots photo host for uploading pictures. But if I croaked tomorrow and my subscription expired all my WebShots pics (about 2000) would disappear from this forum. And if a picture is worth a thousand words... well, you know the rest. :rofl Pat P.
