I'm sure someone has more somewhere, these are just what I had on my computer. Over the summer of '85 one by one each jet was sent off to the boneyard until there were only 3 left . I think the date was September 4th. Everyone who was still left in the squadron turned out for the launch of the final 3 jets. Tail numbers 066, 086, and mine; 772 Marshalling out 066 was Tom (aka Sammy) Hager I don't remember who was marshalling out 086 And 772... Daaaaang I was skinny back then 066 and 086 disappear into the clouds. At that time 3 ship take-offs weren't allowed, so 772 took off seperately. That photo of 772 has been in my wallet all these years and is too worn to scan I hope I have these names/ranks correct from left to right Maj Jennings, 87th squadron commander-Col Fred Buddinger (aka Col Bud), and DCM Lt Col Sarver. I also have the article from the base newspaper, if I remember right the author, 1Lt Ho, was our maintenance officer. The file is huge tho, so dial-up beware. So there ya go!---proof that I was the very last crew chief on 58-772 I'm pretty sure I have more photos, they just have to be scanned so check back here for more.

Permisson granted! I could have sworn I sent them to you once already, back when you first got started. You might have some graphics meister clean them up. I've got others but they need to be scanned and the scanner is not on my computer. It's on HIS and HE is a busy man.

Oh he is not stingy, didn't intend on giving that impression. He is busy man because he has 1½ jobs. His schedule right now (don't tell him I said this) SUCKS . The scanner is on his password protected computer. And time spent at home is family time.

I think I remember Col Buddinger. He was the Maintenance Officer in the 5 FIS at Minot AFB, back in early 80'S if my memory is correct?

Interesting. There was a Maj Buddinger at the 48th FIS Langley in the late '70s. Wonder if it was the same guy. Hard to tell looking at the picture although I remember he was tall. Had to be close to 6'4"

Could very well be one and the same, as the 87th CO was tall and lanky.
