Thanks Mark for the posting, even though it has many inaccurate statement- Willie is 30 miles from Phx and 150 from Flagstaff and the P-80 was not the first USAF jet fighter, etc...He had a great rendition of a Requiem for 59-0048, (which was a 27th FIS original a/c, I know, I was there............ ) webs.lanset.com/aeolusaero/Articles/infinitydart_poem.htm Could have done without the political diatribe, but it is his site .... Yes Pat, we were there this past May for the mini reunion. Myself Bill Carper & Roger Wissinger, we servered in the 456 FIS at Castle from march 1960 to nov. 1963 myself & Roger until dec. 1963. The 106 stood out very good among the other fighters. They have taken very good care of it, brings back lots of memories. About 25 ex mech. found their way to the mini reunion, which i haven't seen Roger for 46 years. Was great to visit & rehash some old memories. Bill Carper :fire_missle_ani

Bill Carper Hi Bill, I have some pictures to post of the mini-reunion soon as I can find some time. Also need to start communications on the June 3-6, 2010 reunion at Colorado Springs. Erv Smalley has been a great help with making arrangements. Later, Pat P. :us_flag
