Seems strange to me that only one AF Mason contacted me, out of 594 forum members.......In the 70s, especially, overseas many military bases had Masonic Lodges on base....I began to notice that a big portion of the better leaders, NCO and officers were wearing the square and compass ring....I knew that to emulate the good leaders would be in my favor as I went thru the ranks......I never knew if the person was great in his own right, or if the principles of the fraternity had influenced him as they were going to influence me in my career........Either way, I was the beneficiary....I am still wanting to touch base with you.....The Old Sarge

I joined the Masonic Feturnity in 1981. Was stationed at McDill AFB in Tampa Florida. My home lodge was in Bellaire, Ohio. The grand Lodge in Tampa did the first two degrees and I went home on leave and go raised one week and gave it back the next before returning to Florida.
