For Instant Messaging, up top where it says Hey, pat perry, you have 1 messages, 1 are new. click on the 1 messages and it takes you right to the Message Box.

Jim, click on the blue Register button up top and just follow along. You'll enter a user name of your choice and you're e-mail address. A password will be sent to that e-mail address.

Once you have the password, click the blue LOGON, enter user name and password, check the box Keep Me Logged On if you wish so you don't have to keep typing it in later, and logon.

Once in, click the blue Profile button on top and customize.

Thanks Pat I hadn't seen it yet. Glad you got to it quickly.

Since I don't host this site on my own server it's difficult (read: almost impossible) to combat these types of things locally, which is why we must all always follow the simple rule of never opening an e-mail you don't know the sender of, and never follow any links posted in a forum you don't know who the member is.

This is why it is so important for visitors here to register as a member so we know who you are. Anyone entering as a Guest, regardless of how nice your post may be, will always be treated as a Guest (read: someone we have no clue as to who you are) thus not given the same open arm welcome as one who registers.

I do have one option here, which is to restrict the site to members only i.e. force one to register before even being allowed to view the site. I have not turned this function on for the obvious reasons of wanting to attract folks here, many who want to ghost around to see what it's all about first, BUT the first time any of our members report a problem as a result of an intruder, I will lock it down.
