Quoting from "U.S. Nuclear Weapons" by Chuck Hansen about 3,150 "Genie" warheads were produced. The F-89, F-102, F-101 and F-106 carried the "Genie", right?

(Click to enlarge) She was also on the cover of Tom Clancy's paperback tiitled Clear & Present Danger (Click to enlarge) Here's her history from Erv's lineage site: www.convairf-106deltadart.com/572463Page.htmlThat old gal gets around, don't she! I don't recall the F-102 carrying the Genie. I believe the AIM-26A was a nuke and the Deuce carried it. I know the F-101 used the Genie because one of the descriptions of the Voodoo was: "Two Genies, two weenies and 30,000 pounds of thrust." Cheers.

The Old Sarge The Old Sarge has found a picture of the Genie MB1 thanks to Lani Duquette of the 87th FIS who took this photo when he visited Pima. (click to enlarge) See the whole story here since the photos on the Pima site are all copywrighted but I'm sure they won't mind a link to their site. www.pimaair.org/Acftdatapics/Douglas%20AIR-2%20Genie.htmThe specs are quite interesting. Thanks to the Old Sarge (Jim) and Lani for keeping us educated, informed and full of green bottled beer! And thanks to Pileit for the old saying... Voodoo was: "Two Genies, two weenies and 30,000 pounds of thrust." Anybody remember any of these old sayings or nicknames for the F-106? Pat Perry 456th FIS

The shots of the "Genies" are of "practice" ones correct, because of the blue band?

The shots of the "Genies" are of "practice" ones correct, because of the blue band? Exactly, the blue band indicates INERT.

The Orange Genie war totally inert. It was used for practice loading only. It also had no security whatsoever and was usually stored with the Missiles and not in the patrolled Storage-Area. Jack

Is that your photo or where did you find it? I want to add it to the site. I was looking at Pat Perry's site but didn't see it there, so I figure it's yours.
