amazon prime t.v. has this series... 40 minutes or so on the people that made the usaf what it is... from jimmy stewart to chappie james… a great series...

that prime video channel has got a lot of good military shows... remember 'the big picture' ?... watched a segment on the war in n. Africa . a lot of p-38 action... saw about 1 second of the tail end of an a-20 dropping bombs...

We used to see a lot of F-111E dump and burn's at RAF Upper Heyford. A lot of the time it was necessary to get gross weight down for landing ( precautionary or emergency). It was OK in daytime, but at night it lite up the base as they flew past. |
