But I figure you guys would know this.
Do you know what bases the B-47's flew out of throughout the mid-fifties to mid-sixties?
Just curious.

The B-47 was also based at Elmendorf AFB Alaska in the early 60's.

Old Sarge, Moses hole was really Moses Lake, WA. It was remote alert base for Det 1 of 49e time it was an F-104 base. On;y thing it was real good for was Boeing used it as a training field for forgien pilots checking out in Boeing commercial jets.

Moses Lake, WA!!! I grew up there on "the base" when they closed it down. (Larson AFB) Dad was stationed there in the comm squadron in the late 50s and met Mom there. After he got out we moved back there and I may end up going back when I retire. Ah, the lake to thick to swim in and to thin to plow. Japan Air Lines still uses it for pilot training on heaview and McChord C-17s are in there all the time for training. Lot's of open airspace around there! Boeing still has property at the airport and was thinking of building part of the Dreamliner 787 there but I think that was mostly talk. Ah, lot's of memories...
