For a time I have been using Virtavia (formerly Alphasim's) F-106 addon for Microsoft Flight Simulator. I searched threads and see it has had some exposure here via the Cold Tension video from youtube that went around a few years back. It is payware but flies well. It is on sale from time to time on various Flight Sim website stores. I have no personal frame of reference to speak to the flight model accuracy but I have been able to get this Flight Simulator model past Mach 2 in the 40-45k altitude range.
Using the demo version of the FS Mission Editor tool other computer controlled aircraft can be inserted flying waypoints in the simulator. Not enough for air combat mind you, but good for following intruders down the simulated coast.
I have not tried it but Virtavia also has a freeware F-106 (a previous version for Flight Sim 9) and a freeware Voodoo.
Here is a list of resources I have found useful:
Virtavia virtavia.com/
Virtavia Freeware Site - www.virtavia.com/Freeware/index.php
FSX Mission Editor fsmissioneditor.com/FSX/index.php
www.flightsim.com hosts many freeware files including T-33s, repaints for the Virtavia F-106. Using the mission editor and waypoints you could make targets out of pretty much any flyable aircraft out there for FSX. The Bear up there was just such a file from FlightSim.com. Ive also been playing with putting Navy P-3s, T-33s, SAC bombers out there on waypoint circuits and going after them in FSX.
If anyone else knows of good files or experiences getting F-106's into Flight Sim I figured this would be a good post thread for it. Seems that in years past some folks have posted off an on about FSX here. Maybe some of those conversations can be consolidated.

missileman01, just what we've needed! Some new young blood. I am so glad you started a new thread on Sixes in MS Flight Simulator X.
Most of us are so old, we just traded our flip phones for smart phones. We can learn from you and your friends about Flight Sims. Our MA-1 guys are a lot more computer literate than us mechanics and I'm sure some of them do Flight SIM programs. And I know some of our F-106 drivers on this forum probably hunker down over a screen with a glass of scotch and shoot down the enemy. We had a lot of them cycle off of F-106s and into Thuds and Phantoms in Vietnam. Thank God most of them returned.
Interestingly, the MA-1 system was adapted to the AC-130 Spectre gunships. Are there any Flight Sim programs for that? One of our Forum veterans did real Flight Sims for lots of aircraft. I'm sure Lorin could add to this conversation.
Welcome back missileman01, we have missed you!
