It's about time!
It took 31 days to transform this otherwise dull gray F-15 Eagle into a colorful abstract worthy of its noble avian namesake. The powerful warplane is adorned with wisp-like feathers that stretch across its 43-foot wingspan and onto its fuselage. Its nest, Kingsley Field in Klamath Falls, Oregon, is home to the 173rd Fighter Wing and the Air Force's only F-15C training schoolhouse. The ramp holds 32 Eagles in all.
But this bird — tail number AF79-041 — stands out among its siblings.

Can you identify this aircraft and tell what evolved from it?
Convair F2Y Sea Dart! (Later the YF-7A Sea Dart -- sort of -- see the Wiki link.) I suppose one could argue that the Duece, or the Six, or the Hustler evolved from it, but they all were Convair "Deltas" produced pretty much around the same time. Since this was the only supersonic seaplane, and nothing like it has ever come since -- and I am being purely academic here -- I would say nothing really evolved from it. I know. Sounds like something only I would say! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Convair_F2Y_Sea_DartMark O
