Hey Guys,
Sitting here at "Site 6" picking the sand out of my ears, (nose, throat, etc...!) making sure our KC-135s are flying in the war. You know what they say, NKAWTG! (No Kick Ass Without Tanker Gas! Just had to throw that one in!) Should be here until the middle of May then it's back to Grand Forks for a break and TDY to Fairchild while they fix our runway.
Anyway, I was talking to one of our KC-135 pilots (my "bail bondsman" - ask me later!) here the other morning as we were cocking on the alert jet and he mentioned his uncle is a former 106 pilot out of Atlantic City! Thought that was pretty cool! Last name is "Ims" and he was a traditional guardsman/pilot according to the nephew. Beleive he left the gaurd as a Major. Anybody remember him?
Love to hear from you all as I am always checking the forum. Later,
Mark
