A couple pics of the C-131B, s/n 53-7801 which was the C-131 assigned to the Montana ANG when they flew Sixes (and probably before when they flew Deuces, and F-89s!), but was sent to the boneyard in 1977. Not sure when these pics were taken, or by whom. From Joe Baugher's web site - 7801 (MSN 253) to MASDC as CS054 Mar 28, 1977. To civil registry as N43941. To D & D Aero Spraying Inc of Rantoul, Kansas Jun 20, 2000.

Well, it should. Both the the C-131, and the T-29 were based on the Convair CV-240. Easiest way to spot a T-29 is it had the 4 celestial navigation bubbles on top of the fuselage, and most had the big radome on the bottom. Mark O

Almost forgot I had this shot of the T-29 on display at Dyess AFB! Believe they removed the bubbles on top, and faired them over, but you can see where they were. Mark O

REALLY??? Prior to its retirement, the TIFS, a 1955 Convair, was the oldest operating aircraft in the Air Force inventory. (U.S. Air Force photo/Ben Strasser) Public Domain File:Convair NC-131H TIFS lifting off.jpg Created: 7 November 2008 Help
