I recently had the distinct pleasure of meeting and sharing some time with Mr Norm Weiderhof and his wife, here in San Antonio! It turns out that Norm worked with some of my fellow MA-1 classmates when he was at Loring! It was very interesting to hear of them and some of their exploits from him. All in all, we had a great time and even got to give Norm a personalized tour of the Old Kelly AFB grounds, the "B" model F-106, and the B-58. I want to go back to the "B" and check out a little thing we both discovered. The tail section cover was open and we could see inside the fuselage. I just have to see what and if anything is left inside. Norm lives in the panhandle of Florida, outside of Pensacola! I know he was not going to be back on his trip for a few days. I hope that hurricane "Ivan" didn't wreck his home! Say a little prayer for Norm and his wife that his house is still standing. The invitation stands for anyone else coming to the San Antonio area. Please call and contact me and I'll see what time I can arrange to be available. Thanks for the visit Norm! MArv Donnelly

Just got back online yesterday after Hurricane Ivan. We had sold our place on the beach a month before Ivan, but were still living there while building a new house inland (away from them nasty hurricanes). We had to cut our vacation short to come back & retrieve our belongings after Ivan. Been living in a small (1) bedroom condo for (7) while house was being built. Didn't have a computer hook-up, so have a lot of catching up to do.
Had a great time visiting with Marv & his wife. Thanx for the hospitality.
Also would suggest that anyone traveling should let it be known where you are going & hopefully anyone along your route will extend an invitation to get together with you. It's great to reminence with others. If any of y'all are going to be near Gulf Shores, Alabama, let me know. My phone # is 251-948-6731. E- mail is marjorieweiderhaft@yahoo.com. There is a great museum at Pensacola Naval Air Station---yes, I know it's Navy, but still a great museum. The Blue Angels are based there & we are able to sit on beach & watch them train right in front of us.
