An F-15 flying with one wing after a mid-air and the pilot got it home! Go McDonnell Douglas on this!
Talk about a "There I was..." story to top them all! Watch the video. Bet there was some heavy booze consumption at and after debriefing! Watch or DL it.

Most defiantly the pucker factor was a 10 +. They probably had to surgically remove the ejection seat from him as well. After watching the video I have to give him a big for a job well done absolutely amazing !!!
EVA Air Boeing 747-45EM taking off from runway 36L at Amsterdam-Schiphol , Netherlands. The great timing and angle just makes this shot, and the size of the 747, looks surreal.
The distance to left before the fence was 145 meters (475ft). That’s 1.5 seconds at takeoff speed! I wonder if anyone computed the takeoff roll prior to the trip?
This is an amazing picture of a disaster that didn't happen. From the smallest airplane to the largest, weight & balance calculations are a critical part of flight safety. From the looks of this 747, the weight was within the CG envelope.
My guess is the pucker factor was a 10.0 in the pilot's seat.
This shot gives a good relationship of its size to something else like buildings, cars, etc... Have you ever considered how big a U.S. carrier really is? There are some bigger ones today.

WEll the JFK is now retired and laid up for mothballing and final determination and reclamation.. however....the USS Ronald Reagan is the longest US aircraft carrier in the american fleet.
