A 15 minute video that demonstrates why you don't want to piss off the USAF... especially at night.

I find it interesting, that in so many publications, videos and other media, some official, that the beginnings of our Air Force doesn't mention the fact that our pilots in The Great War flew British and French Pursuit planes and Bombers, as there were very few American "made" planes.
The American "made" planes were DH-4s, licensed for manufacture by de Havilland of Great Britain, using Liberty engines, manufactured by American Automobile companies.
The planes were poorly built, had no guns at first, and the Liberty Engine was very unreliable.
Yet, our pilots and ground crews managed to become a special fighting unit.
Much of that was because of the constant push on General Pershing and Washington by Billy Mitchell and Gen. Patrick.
When The Great War began, the United States had one of the smallest Air Forces, even though many of the first planes and early innovations in Aviation came from America.
Sadly, we are not currently going in the right direction, but are headed back to the 1920s and 1930s attitude by the politicians and many in the Puzzle Palace.
More on this subject to come.
