This from Capt Brownshoes (Roger D'Entremont- 27th FIS) It is a shame that there had to be some nit pickers that viewed this- read the last screen by pausing www.youtube.com/watch?v= 8k9Si28k0Fk&app=desktop Very moving.
What a wonderful young man.
His respect for those who came to France in 1944, and his desire to honor them, was most likely learned from his parents, grandparents and other adults, and probably a desire to know about WW2.
I can't imagine what kind of Cretans would criticise him, because he was not standing at attention.
He is 11 years old and honoring those who came, and those who never went back home.
If they want to criticise, then criticise all those who show disdain for our Flag and our Republic, by their disrespectful actions during the Presentation of our Colours and the playing of our National Anthem, at public events.
I hope this young man will be able to return to Normandy, on 6 June, every year for a long time, even if he doesn't duplicate his act of Homage.
Shame on the local police for not allowing him to continue his talking to those who came to the cemetery.
His parents are to be congratulated for raising such a fine young man.

This young man gives me hope for the future, but one is not enough.
