I received an email from the daughter of the pilot who died in the crash of F-106A 57-2489, Captain William F. Tesmer. She has been searching for information about her dad, the aircraft and the circumstances of his crash/death. This is an aircraft I have no photo's of. I do have information in the database at www.f-106deltadart.com/databases/f-106inventory/f106_inventory_view.php?editid1=269 which I have shared with her, but I told here I would published requests for more info. So, if anyone has any, let me know.

I hope she went there too. Jim H and Gene Gould did a good job reporting on this loss.
Thanks, Pat P.

Yes, I added that link to the narrative. I sent her several links that one included.

Going back a few years for this one.
Literally just across the hall from my new office is the remains of the engine from 57-2489. There is also a posterboard with several photographs of the crash site. It is part of several engines in the lab for the USAF Mishap Investigation Course. I briefly spoke to the instructor, but am not sure if he has the actual crash report. (I will check when I can.)
Not sure if I should post the pics I took though. Opinions?

Nah, been on the job since July 8th. Just started the Basic Instructor Course (BIC, used to be TTIC) today, but when I swung by the office a bit ago they were all waiting for the new Wing CC to arrive for a tour, so I chatted with the Mishap course instructor really quickly, and left. I wanted to get better photos. He does have the edited crash report, so I'll get that when I can as well. May be a few more days. I'm going to try to get scans of the photos instead of pictures of the pictures as well. It ain't going anywhere, and neither am I.
Thanks for your patience guys!

Been very busy attending BIC, but have a temporary, good interweb connection, and wanted to post the two photos I was able to take of the display (albeit a very, controlled-access display) of the 57-2489's engine. I promise I will get better photos as soon as practicable.
