Daughter's clan will be taking the ferry boat from Greece over to Italy tomorrow.
My daughter has posted hundreds of photo's on her FB.
Anyone interested in some photos from Turkey, Greece, and Italy I'll transfer a few of what I think are good and interesting into this thread

I'm guessing you are very happy that she, and her family, is out of that place Gary.
Thanks for the pics, and the updates!

Newspapers seem to often mess information up even when its printed for them. But, its nice that some newspapers give space for the military. This is the first paragraph as I sent to them our local paper. Quite different than what they printed: Christopher Rekrut and Corrine Rekrut arrive at Lakenheath Air Base, England for duty. Christopher is a Master Sgt ( Electrical and Environmental Systems Technician) active duty member of the United States Air Force. Corrine is also a Master Sgt Jet Engine Technician, and a member of the U.S. Air Force Reserves.

Ah, editors! Gotta hate 'em!
Looks like his promotion ceremony pic with the new stripes stuck over his TSgt stripes.
Very nice, Gramps!!

Now its are turn for a road trip across Europe. Yesterday at Barns & Nobles Bookstore we picked up 3 maps (Germany, England, Ireland) to plan out our European Vacation. We always start planning 8 months to a year in advance. I spent 4 years in Germany back in 1978-82 but didn't get to see that much because ex-wife valued friends and parties more that family traveling. Belinda and I love to travel and do a trip almost every year, and last year spent 6 weeks in Turkey with our Daughter's family traveling around. So far we are looking at 1 1/2 to 2 weeks in Germany, 1 week in England with our daughter's family, 1 week in Ireland, then back to England for the last week with our daughter's family. Our Daughter has expressed the idea of also traveling to Ireland with Mom and dad and that could be possible and would be nice. My Good Buddy Ron L Smith Jr. recently returned from Europe and shared lots of photo's so I have pick a few places he has visited and added them to our bucket list. Thanks Ron. Travel will be first calls on U.S. Air Force C-17 jet aircraft from WA to Germany. Train from Kaiserslauthen, Germany to Paris for a two day stay, then train to London. The logistics in this trip is taking some very advanced planning including rental vehicles, travel routes, and planning for possible lodging along the way. I don't like to be held to a timetable so lodging will be a challenge so with our laptop I hope to get lodging set up a day or two in advance while traveling. If we want to spend an extra day at anyplace we want the flexibility. That old saying, "Best laid plans od mice & men" LOL.
