More info and pics. The museum is open today, but the Dome is off limits. Emergency personnel have allowed the museum to remove one car—the almost priceless last surviving 1983 model, which didn't fall into the hole—but are insisting the rest stay put until engineers can assess the situation. The museum has confirmed that the following cars dropped into the sinkhole, according to WBKO: 1993 ZR-1 Spyder * 2009 ZR-1 Blue Devil * 1962 Black Corvette 1984 PPG Pace Car 1992 White 1 Millionth Corvette 1993 Ruby Red 40th Anniversary Corvette 2001 Mallett Hammer Z06 Corvette 2009 White 1.5 Millionth Corvette * On loan from General Motors. That doesn't appear to be a very thick floor. Certainly not thick enough to support much weight after all the soil settled. Maybe the local Mustang Club tunneled underneath the Dome Building. Pat P.

Sad.
Not many of those were produced, so every loss is a big one.
From what I have read, the other seven are going to be fully restored by Chevrolet.
