I'm falling apart and the doc says it's mostly related to stress. Geez I wonder why? Furloughs, GOV shutdowns, crap going on all over the world... nah no way it can be stress Few days ago my headaches just wouldn't stop, then my first ever attack of Gout woke me up in the middle of the night, then on the subsequent trip to the doc a few days later for all this stuff I found my BP as high as our Six's ceiling. Anyway a few days in the 51st Med Group hospital at Osan and now I'm home again. So, not a vacation, but a trip I didn't really need.

A 40 year old mind in a 60 plus year body will always knock you on your ass.. Glad the R&R at Osan Hospital got ya settled down.. Old age doesn't sneak up on you- it is just that one day you are old and not just older.... Take it easy and listen to what in hell your body is trying to tell you- even get some hearing aids to hear better.. Take care ol friend..... The much Older Sarge

Glad you are feeling better. So looking back on it, you should have said the hell with work and came to Dayton for the F-106 reunion. That would have taken the stress out. I will add to what Jim said, life is too short to let the SOB's get you down. So worry about what is important and apply the 100 year rule...Will anyone remember this 100 years from now. If not, it doesn't matter. All the best Lorin

Maybe it's time to put in for retirement. Life is too damn short to spend it worrying about stuff you can't do anything about. That's stuff that newbies can be hired for. With your connections and skills I can see you doing a web based business from home in the Military memorabilia business. Seems it would be a whole lot more relaxing. In the meantime, take a break and get away from the front lines for awhile. You deserve a break today... and it's not at McDonald's! Maybe start ticking some stuff off on your bucket list. You're in my prayers buddy! Pat P.

Paddy, me foine young friend, I'm happy to know you are out of the Osan Pest Hole, and you are not carrying a bunch of devices plugged-in to your body.
I agree with all the positive statements made by your brothers on the Forum.
Time to sit back, take a long look at your situation and determine if it is worth it to keep having to deal with problems that were there before you were an E-1 and will still be there after you are long retired.
You have made a tremendous difference in the lives of many people since you enlisted, and it will continue after your retirement has been going on for a few years.
But, at what cost to you?
Like I said, sit back, maybe at your alternate dwelling on that big island to the South, write down all the reasons you "have" to stay at it, and all the reasons you need to hang it up.
Then spend a lot of time in prayer about the two lists and what the future holds for you.
I suspect Pat P. has a good idea about an Internet business.
I will be praying for you and with you.
Jim Too
