Here's a forward from Bobski about Sean Tracy of Wixom, MI who has dedicated his exceptional modeling skills to thank vets for their service by building them a free model. Sean is building a F-106 for the raffle at the F-106 2013 Reunion in Dayton, OH. I think you will be amazed by his work. Pat P. Bobski wrote:F106 Troops, I am sending out this special request to all of you guys to tell you about one of our F106 reunion supporters, Sean Tracy. He saw our ad about the F106 reunion several months ago and offered to build a F106 plastic model to donate to our reunion. The F106 is one of his favorite airplanes. His model and detail work is truly a work of Art! He refines each plastic part and his final product is amazing! Ken picked up our F106 model to be used as one of our special raffle prizes at the reunion. A little more about Sean and this special request... Sean has made over 100 models for any veteran FREE OF CHARGE. He has done airplanes (all wars), ships, tanks, jeeps, trucks and any model a veteran has been associated with. See his links below theveteransproject.wordpress.com Sean is on workman's comp. To date he has personally paid for all the models. His wife reminded him they can no longer do it out of their own pocket, to date he has invested $6500. He desperately wants to continue the project. I am asking if you would consider donating $5 per person at the reunion? We could set out his F106 raffle model in front of a donation box. If you would like to send (mail) him a personal donation now to his home address it is below. I can't think of a better way to spend $5. I did some dry brushing in the weapons bay and gear wells and added a little more detail. I do have a HUGE favor/ request. You said the group planned on donating 50.00 to the Project when the model is completed and that's where my request comes into play. Is there any way at all who ever sends out all the emails regarding the reunion (Bobski I think?) can mention my projects FaceBook page and mention I need donations to keep the project going? The wife and I did some math and have come to realize the model fund is exhausted. In nearly three years I spent almost $6,500.00 out of my own pocket to keep the project alive. I can no longer do this especially with me being on workers comp. I still have nearly one hundred models to build for Veterans and I don't want to let them down. On my FaceBook page the models being built can be seen as they progress, your groups model is included and will be posted tomorrow. I'm hoping if even half your members donate as little as 5.00 the project will be set for the duration. Is there anyway this can be done? I'll be more then happy to speak to Bobski or whoever else I need to in order to plead my cause. www.theveteransproject.wordpress.comThere are some links here to TV news videos that have been done on Sean's work Here's my FaceBook page: www.facebook.com/TheVeteransModelProject Sean Tracy The Veterans Project 3338 Abbey Ln. He has built a beautiful handcrafted F106 model for a raffle prize for our F106 reunion. His work is impeccable! He is the "real deal." A very good hearted man, doesn't charge veterans a penny for his work or the model parts cost. he can no longer afford to do it as he is on workman's comp. Take a look at the two articles. We will have a donations box at the reunion for his project if you would like to donate. Bobski Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment Deleted
