thats about it..  for noticing... there's always Jim... but he's been quietly lately... i know the weather is boring, but he livens it up...sometimes... and there are other things you can throw out there...that's what the title implies...
Have started working an a slideshow of all our Space-A flights. Be awhile before its done.

Few days ago stopped @ "Dogwood Canyon Nature Park" owned by the Owner of Cabeles Stores. This is a beautiful place northeast of Eureka Springs. Google it! Just post a few of my photos here.

This trip hasn't been free. Alaska Airline Tickets, Hotel, Mountain Cabin, etc, etc. But we are having a very good time and Belinda is getting to spend lots of time with her Mom, Brother, & Sister. Her Mom is 83 so its good she is getting this time with her. Our hotel now is west of Kansas City at the Legeonds Mall and the Kansas Speedway.

Tomorrow is our last vacation day and we fly home. I'm ready.
Went and drove through acres of Christmas Lights in a county park last night. I'll post a few.
One of the Christmas light designers must have been a 318th FIS member at one time as there is a green dragon.

Had a pretty nice flight home from Kansas City to Seattle except for a couple instances.
First a very pretty and slim girl sat in the row in front of us. She was at the window.
The center seat was empty and a young muslim man sat on the isle seat.
He quickly started hounding her with questions: name, where from, where going, what college attending, etc, etc.
I was close to telling him to shut-up when she pulled out a sweater from her bag, rolled it into a pillow, put it against the aircraft wall, closed her eyes, and made like sleeping. He was a pain in the ass. He got the message.
Next a person up 6 rows had a big dog on their lap (Irish Setter I think) it farted I think or crapped and for awhile stunk up the area.
Pets belong in the cargo area.
Other than that it was a nice flight and we landed 40 minutes early.

At the end of our trip. Two weeks traveling around Scotland and about 2 1/2 weeks spent with our granddaughters while their Mom & Dad one a trip through Europe. Belinda and I are hoping to get seats on tomorrow's mission out of RAF Mildenhall into Fairchild AFB, WA. There are 4 missions leaving tomorrow morning. Fairchild is number to with a 0740 roll call. Its a KC-135 Tanker we will be on if we get seats. Seat numbers should be posted later today.

Things are looking up. Fairchild's mission tomorrow has 20 seats released. We have been on the Space-A list for over a month so our standing on the list for CAT 6 should be pretty good.
This likely won't happen.

i had that pic. in my office back about '89... always had a bone to pick with pax services... they wanted more seats than i could release... it was determined on the amount and type of cargo outbound...

Made it home safe and sound with AMC. I'd rather fly AMC and day than a civilian flight. Reasons: Its free, but that is not the biggest reason. Less TSA crap to deal with. No crowds. Unlimited leg room. Walking around room. Oh yes and those I flight Meals , box nasties as we used to call them. Get to visit the flightdeck. Free parking on base.

Started working on this slide-show last June after we returned from Scotland & England. Had to put it on hold while getting Belinda's knee surgery set up and done, then she started on physical therapy & recovery. I was bored this evening so hit it hard and finished it. Thought I'd share it and hope you enjoy it. Good Scotish song with it.

Jim,
When I open the video on the forum page, I don't get ads stopping and starting the video but do get a small box that says "More Videos". If you click it you can select other videos. Best way to stop all that is when you open the video on the forum page, click YouTube in the lower right corner and it takes you to the YouTube site. The image quality is better there and bigger and you can stop and start all you want and there are no popup ads. Pat P.

Anyone interested in how we are able to travel so often and to far places like Alaska, Hawaii, other American places, & Europe, just ask and I'll explain how to do it and save thousands. Its fairly easy if you know some things to do.  |
