Yup...prove that you can dot the "T"s and cross the "I"s...
The FAA has their own version of it for us techs, and we just went thru one...sort of.
They shortened it by 2 weeks and cut the number of inspectors (so they wouldn't out number us...) to save money.

Loved the 12 hr shiifts, then the weather goes bad, so they pack up and leave or look through the paper work for one of the i or t that someonne forgot to dot or cross. What a pain in the a**.

Yup, pretty much how I remember it, and they always seemed to pick the worst part of the year, weather wise, to make their inspection during.

I went through four ORIs in my first four years in the USAF. The 87th in Duluth flunked two of them, passing the third. I get to Minot, and damned if I'm not three months away from another ORI (which we passed)!. I probably went through ten ORIs in the ANG; never was there any danger of our failing them.
Went through my last ORI five months before I retired. I'd gotten blase about them by that time.
