Had the opportunity last weekend to tour the WWII aircraft carrier Lexington in Corpus Christie, TX. It was my second visit to a WWII carrier. The first was the Yorktown in Charleston, SC. I believe there is only one more still around. The Hornet in San Diego (?). Does anyone know of any others?
Also have been aboard two battleships; the Wisconsin in Wilmington, NC and the Missouri at Pearl Harbor. I know the New Jersey is now at Camden, NJ. Are there anymore battleships out there?

Iowa is moored in Stockton, North Carolina in Wilmington, Massachusetts at Fall River, and Texas in CC. Don't recall any more Americans... beyond that, you have to go to Japan for the Mikasa, and there might be a Russian one too. Everybody else scrapped all theirs... hell, the Damn Frogs couldn't even be bothered to save their last surviving ship from Trafalgar when the Brits offered to GIVE the former Duguay-Trouin back to her former owners. (Many preservationists think the torches-and-pitchforks reaction to the twice-restored-and-preserved HMS Foudroyant's scuttling was the key driver in the demand to save Cutty Sark, much as the loss of New York's Penn Station raised a hue and cry that only barely saved Grand Central.)

Jim, my understanding is the OP was asking about battleships, not carriers. Midway (JUST missed WWII) is in San Diego, and Intrepid's in the Rotten Apple. Thanks for setting me straight re BB-35, Chaplain.
