I think it wold be nice to mention some random acts of kindness we do or witness. Belinda and I were at the Base Legal Office this morning for an appointment to modify our wills. While we were waiting a active duty Cheid Petty Officer (CPO) came in and was asking to see a lawyer as he was having some serious troubles with his landlord. He was begging for an appointment today or tomarrow, but all they could find was one that was 2 1/2 weeks out. I wispered to Belinda, if it would be alright to give our appointment to the young CPO as he seemed to be in lots of distress and looked very tired. We both agreed, so I went up to the counter and asked if we could come back another time and allow this active duty CPO to take our appointment. The legal clerk said, "Iit will be 3 weeks before we can get you back in." I replied, "That is OK with us, we are just here for a few changes in our wills, and I'm not planning to die in the next 3 weeks." The legal office agreed and gave our appointment to the CPO who seemed to relax abit. Belinda and I wished him luck and we shook hands. What ever problem he was having with his landlord it was really stressing him out. Glad we own our home and acreage, and we can't see our neighbors for the trees. Ever get that little voice telling you this would be the nice thing to do for someone? Seemed Belinda and I heard it about the same second, and acted on it. God does work in his own ways. I know the CPO felt more hopeful, relaxed, and at ease. It made us feel real good to have helped. Not much feels better than that. That old saying hit me as we walked out the front door of the legal office, "No good deed goes unpunished" so I said to Belinda, "We best be extra careful driving home." LOL!

Gary, good on you and Belinda for giving up your time to that CPO. Hope he pays that forward someday. For 17 years our phone number has been 1 digit off from the local U-Haul Trailer rental company. We have probably received over 500 wrong number calls for U-Haul in that time. Early on we started telling callers to use 353 (ours is 355) for the middle digits and they would get to the right place. Also had good chats with many of them. Most all of them said Thanks. I figure moving is big enough stress so they didn't need any more to deal with. Pat P.

Nothing on TV, Wife at Church teaching a Bible Study, and I was board. I'd been constantly loosing weight for over a year with WeightWatchers but yesterdays weight check I went up 4 pounds. The buffets at the Clearwater resort over Valantines and a trip to Red Lobster a few nights ago with our good friends the Rod & Malena likely did it. So tonight I was wondering what too do, then I looked toward our treadmill, and figured that is it! I jumped on it and the batteries were dead for the gauges, my mind told me to never mind if I hunt for batteries I might not jump on. So, I turned on our TV Music Stations to 50's-60's music and cranked up the AMP. My Bose 901 Seris 11 Speakers were rocking loud and crisp. As loud as a jet Engines Afterburner. I put on my Z-Coil Shoes and turned on the motor and off we went. At about 30 or 40 minutes my mind and body was asking, you trying to kill us with a heart attack or stroke, but I pressed on and broke through it, then something clicked. All my mind and heart took in was the music, and I just kept going. T-shirt was wet, jogging sweats were damp, and my hair was wet, but I felt great. Two hour into my treadmill workout Belinda Price came home and told me I had about enough for one day. Was able to keep my heart rate most of the time between 124 and 129 with oxygen intake at 98% according to my meter. Next weeks weightin I plan to be down the 4 pounds I gained plus another 1 or 2 pounds. Likely have some cramps and pains tomorrow morning - but as the saying goes, "No pain no gain." This I do for myself.

My wife went with a friend to a Christian Ladies Retreat in Seattle. She walked away with a free 4 day cruise.

Lately with all the bad experiences with cruise ships, that could be considered a punishment instead of a prize. Anyway enjoy a little time away. It might do the body good. Lorin
