I stumbled over the OBVIOUS with a great sense of DISCOVERY this morning. Here are the major pages we all use in the new forum: Home Page - 1st level of arrival at the Forum Board Page - 2nd level shows what threads are in the Board Thread Page - 3rd level lets us see all the posts in that Thread Post Page - 4th level lets us write a new post or reply to an existing post
Recent Posts Page - usually where we go first after the Home Page to see what's new
The pages above look very similar with only minor differences in buttons available. I often forget what page I'm on and have to scroll up to find out. Maybe there is a way to improve navigation but I don't know what it is (maybe some color differences in background?). One thing I did learn was when reporting a problem to always state what page it occured on. Example: "Having a heart attack, send paramedics" OR "Having a heart attack at 104 Main, send paramedics".
The pages below are different looking enough that you pretty much know where you are: Search Page - lets us find what we are looking for and is much improved over the old system
Message Page - to send or recieve a Personal Message (PM) Conversation Page - like a post in the Message system
Profile Page - seldom go there unless we want to edit our Profile
