Spell Check is gone and will not come back inside this software app.
Their primary reason for this, and it's really not a bad reason, is that most software and web browsers now have built-in spell checking s it is not cost effective to duplicate efforts. This is especially true for a software feature that requires constant upkeep/update, as spell checkers do. And yes, even though that is an automated function, it still costs time, money, resources to built and support. In FF you can turn on it's internal spell checker. In IE there is not one, BUT I have found a free software plug-in that I seem to like so far. You can find it at www.speckie.com/dload and it's free. It's called Speckie from Versoworks. I downloaded and installed it and am using it right now in IE9 and it works great. I highly recommend you all get it.

Explain New Posts and No new posts icons nothing happens when clicked on............. Cursor still has a frigging mind of its own as far as when it wants to be visible.... Right now it wasn't visible til I hit a key....It was visible for 5 seconds and the it just fell over the cliff. Same thing again, and again.....And as soon as I hit either left or right arrow key it disappears. hitting space bar will bring it back and move one space... Movin mouse will sometimes bring it back.. corrected mouse spelling and moved cursor to add periodsRight now I beam between sR is and I have no idea where cursor is til I hit a key or the space bar

Before we had the same graphic, but it pointed in different directions based on it there was a new post in there or not. You probably never even noticed it, but that was/is a good way to quickly scan down the list for any new posts inside a thread. My curser is here in both FF and IE. I'm typing right now and see it there blinking at me the entire time I'm typing. I'm using arrows and everything else. I'll keep asking on the support forums.

Is it a wireless mouse? Are you using a desktop PC or a laptop? Are you using a special mouse control program that let's you do special operations with your mouse, i.e. change color or direction or shape? Just trying to narrow down why your mouse is performing differently than most. 2- I found a settings menu here: click on Profile> click on Edit Profile> click on Settings tab> scroll down to Smiles Default> click Disabled button> scroll to bottom of page and click on Save Account Settings. See if that stops showing smiles with pistols I like guns. Mine is not Disabled yet. Pat P.

Jim, 1- Is your mouse set up with the standard Operating System control default settings? Is it a wireless mouse? Are you using a desktop PC or a laptop? Are you using a special mouse control program that let's you do special operations with your mouse, i.e. change color or direction or shape? Just trying to narrow down why your mouse is performing differently than most. 2- I found a settings menu here: click on Profile> click on Edit Profile> click on Settings tab> scroll down to Smiles Default> click Disabled button> scroll to bottom of page and click on Save Account Settings. See if that stops showing smiles with pistols I like guns. Mine is not Disabled yet. Pat P. Now it is Disabled. I like guns. Pat P. The problem with the guns was that the name of the file was guns.gif and the system automatically added a hotkey of guns to the file. Same with teacher, bs, devil etc. So, I have deleted those smilies, renamed the files to add a _ in front i.e. " ,gif" and now the hotkey is " " without the " " which I'm sure nobody will ever use... if you do well then I've changed a lot of the smilies in this manner so we'll see.
