Gary, sorry to hear about the accident, but glad that Belinda didn't get hurt any worse than she did.
Hope everything works out with the car, either getting it repaired or replaced.

I've never seen such bad brusing before. I'd post a pic of the brusing, but she would kill me. Glad she has good pain medications. Looks like she is going to receive a ticket for "Distracted Driving." $121

Not to play doctor here, but with heavy bruising I hope her physician has also addressed the risks of internal clotting.

When making a left turn you are always running the risk of an accident and being the one at fault. It is what it is. She accepts the responsiblity and might go to court to explain what happened. Still waiting for witness statements that might say the truck never braked or slowed.
We brought home her new vehicle tonight........

Wife says that she is feeling alittle better but still hurts. Still taking pain medications as needed. The brusing is starting to turn lighter so might be healing up. But as some seem to start getting better other brusing starts to show. Her breast that is badly bruised has bumps in it from the blood pooling I guess. Doctor did say that gravity would cause this. Just worried about clotting. We have always been very close physically with hugging, snuggling, and whatever but not much is possible with all her hurts. So now life is a bit different for us for awhile. We spent the day with our son's family and his 3 boys. Belinda spend quite abit of time with our new baby grandson about 4 1/2 months old. This seemed to brighten her spirits. Also the Childrens Christmas Pageant she put together came off very well in Church this morning. Still waiting for the MRI appointment on her knee. This is all going to take time for us to get back to normal. But we will. At least we have her vehicle replaced with what she wanted.

Pretty darn depressed. Does not seen much like Christmas. Just one bad news after another. Lots of big expenses the last few months. Next month is another with a new roof on the house and garage. So far I've been saying its just money. Now we hear Russian gave Syria pin-point targeting missiles. Daughter's family are all in Turkey. Wife's vehicle accident & totalled car. She is brused all over with black & blue spots. One breast is all black and blue with hard spots in it. Waist is all bruised and we can hardly touch because of increasing the pain.. Doctor says it is blood that pooled and will in time be desolved. She is in lots of pain and taking pills. MRI of he knee today showed a tendon damaged and torn. First word was that it would likely heal on its own. Got a call alittle while ago saying it will require surgery to repair it. Without surgery then her knee in the future will be giving out on her. She had surgery the year before to replace her ankle, and then last year to shave off some bone the was growing back interfearing with the new ankle. Like I said its just one thing after another. I keep trying to tell myself, "at least nobody has died." Far from being in the Christmas Spirit, just waiting for the new year to start.

Damn Gary, if it's not one thing it's another. What can I say... I could say things could have been worse, which they could have, and that (as you say) nobody died, but honestly does that really help what you're feeling? Probably not. I'm sure you've already thought about as many positives as you can think of, yet here you are still depressed with what feels like the world coming down on you. So, hearing the typical responses probably aren't going to do much other than to let you know that we are thinking about you and the family and pray for things to get better.
But here's what you really do need to hear, and I'm confident I speak for everybody... we here in this forum, not the "Forum", but us in this setting, this group, your friends, we are all behind you and your family, we are all thinking of you, praying for you and we are all optimistic that things will indeed get better. So, as you sit there depressed and thinking the worst just remember that you are not alone, we're with you.
God Bless you and your family and Merry Christmas

AMEN to what Pat said.
Gary, you and Belinda have been through the wringer, but now it is all headed up.
Remember, too, not only do all of our Six Family love you, the Lord loves you and is always at your side.
Let Him carry the burden and give you His peace.

I'm a believer that the Lord doesn't put anything on anyone that they can't handle. The fact that your burdens are heavy now is only a testament that He recognizes and has great confidence in the great strength you and your wife have to prevail over adversity. :god_bless_usa
