Pretty cool! I noticed the Saudi C-130 and have been looking at that same aircraft for the past two weeks here at Little Rock. It was parked just outside my training squadron building. They were here for some training and a bunch of the crews were staying in my building!
I of course am still plugging along in Engineer training. About a month to go and as long as I keep my nose clean and my "learn" on (oh, and pass a check ride!) I get to go home to Grand Forks then PCS to Dyess! This has been a TOUGH school. I'm almost there though!!

Mark I'll second that Mark, hang in there - if for no other reason than Dyess will be a bit more comfortable in the winter months than Grand Forks.

Your going to do great Mark. I've been to Dyess AFB once in my 24 year career for a month TDY. It was a maning assist into the engine shop.

Thanks guys! That means a lot. After three flights this week I get a day of self study to hit the wooden indian and get things down a little smoother. It's starting to come together but everyday is something new!

Mark, I was in the 36th TAS at McChord in the mid 1980's when it was deactivated. The last day before deactivation the squadron flew all of its aircraft in on formation around the Pacific Northwest. All 16 or 18 C-130's flew at once. I have pic's. See if I can find a few for you.
