This isn't exactly about a trip, although I did have to drive on base to wash, wax and photo it. And it's not really a reunion, although admittedly the times I spend washing, waxing and photographing her are rare these days so I suppose it's sort of a reunion between the 2 of us. But, it is about something non aircraft, something not jet engine powered, although still does fly like hell down the 1/4 mile So I guess this is as good a place as any for my waxed baby (Gene I know what you're thinking :rofl ) www.pats-world.com/brightblue00gt/photos-oct2012.htm

HEY! It looks like you swapped out the wheels!!! Still looks great! I'll have another beer for ya! MArv I've had those FR500 rims on for several years now, but when you saw her here I may have had the 2000 Cobra R rims on. Man that was a long time ago! I just researched a bit and yes I definitely had the 00' Cobra R rims on on Dec 04' when you were here, in fact I kept them on for several years after that. Still have a Kenne Bell SC under the hood, but have done a lot of engine work since 04' including increasing the size of the KB. I think when you were out Marv I was putting out about 440 rwhp. During the fall of 05' after the cam changes and upgraded KB blower and some other work is when I finally broke into the 10's down the 1/4. Geez I haven't been to the track in over 2 years now Not bad for a daily driver which now has 150K on her and still brings me back and forth to Seoul every day :2thumbsup

You never can tell where our forum members are going to show up.
Here's Marv and Chief o'the Darts Ralph Robledo at the 2008 456th FIS Reunion in Dulles, VA. They were never in the 456th but we liked them so much we adopted them!
Ralph had hip surgery today in Merced, CA - prayers for him.

Are you sure the "TRACK" is still a quarter mile??? Maybe it got shortened a bit since then! HEHE!
Yep - its a sweet ride and I would love to bring it here to Nebraska. There is a road race in the Sandhills - from Arnold, Nebraska to Dunning, Nebraska and its held once a year. The cars can run anything! The road is blocked off and the race is for the fastest time in many various classes - stock, modified, etc.etc.. You might find it listed on line if you do some looking. Should fall under the Sandhills Classic Road Race. That road is paved and mostly a single lane throughout, but the speeds are fast! Some have been clocked doing 200 plus mph on the stretches!
Have an OB for me!

I bet Joey Chitwood whould have hired that guy.
Looks like a modified German/British Ford Focus.
Highly modified with AWD or RWD.
Certainly not a Mustang.
