Well friends, our Chief O' The Darts will be going into the hospital for hip replacement:
Hey old sarge, Thanks for the nice card. I have been busy getting ready for hip replacement surgery. It is scheduled at 1220 hrs on Tuesday October 2nd, at Mercy Medical Center in Merced CA. Will be in the hospital for a few days then will be at home for recovery and physical therapy. Everyone tells me that it is a piece of Cake, I will let you know. Ralph

Just talked to Ralph Robledo. He sounds and feels great and the surgery only took a little over an hour. Had a lot of bone spurs on the ball joint that had torn the muscles and the Doc fixed that. Doc said it would be awhile before he was up and walking. Physical Therapy begins today. He has had lots of visitors and phone calls and appreciates them.

Just talked to the Chief, said he failed his first therapy- tossed his cookies on his first situp.............. Not surprised at only 24 hours post surgery and all that anesthesia still in his system. Plus they probably still have him on push button morphine. It'll take several days to get past the trauma of surgery. Pat P.

Ralph, I'm happy to hear that your surgery went well and you are on your way to a complete recovery, and a pain-free joint.
Will keep praying for you.
I'm sure the gang at the museum misses you and wants you back sooner than you need to be.
