Mark, If you ever find a job that brings you back to WA make sure you travel with your rain gear. You are sure to need it often, while waiting on the moving van.
Here is a cartoon for your wife.

Although I did make one salmon fishing trip into the Strait of Juan de Fuca, this is the part of Washington I'm used to fishing in. No rain gear needed! This is Lake Lenore just north of Soap Lake, and south of Banks Lake in the lower Grand Coulee. Photo was taken by my buddy in 2005 one weekend I took off during an extended TDY at Fairchild. For an interesting history including a film of the War Assets Administration dumping sodium into this lake after WWII check out this link. (The link is bad so I'll add the film link under the wiki link. By the way, there ARE fish there now. Lahontan cutthroat trout. Tied with salmon for great eating!) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Lenore_(Washington)Edit: BTW, for you amateur geologists out there click on the link about the "Missoula Floods" in the Lake Lenore link to learn more about how the coulees of Eastern Washington were formed. Really fascinating stuff!

Did another trip to Neah Bay and Cape Flattery fishing last week on the Makah Indian reservation. A 3 day trip turned into 6 days because we burned out a trailer wheel bearing. Found some guys to fix it and they had to order in parts. They saw the USAF stickers on my truck and asked, "Do you know a TSgt named Corrine?" I replied, "Yes, she is our daughter but now she is a MSgt. Then they asked, "Do you know Chris Rekrut?" I replied, "that's our Son-in-Law." Turns out these Indian guys are members of the USAFR and were in the 446th Squadron with my daughter at McChord years ago. I guess she made a strong impression.
The damn site will not allow me to post any fishing photos tonight.
We need a 7-level technician to fix this red-x condition. LOL.

Can't even click and enlarge any photos in this thread without having to go thru some other program
