i had to click on museum, then the thread... How do you usually get here? I either do it that way or the Last 100, or from a users name profile.

Took our two older grandsons to the air park so they could see the T-33 Bird that their Grandpa flew on a few times. There was one problem that was upsetting and disappointing. I had made a firm appointed with the museum administrator for today right after lunch to have photos taken inside the museum with my grandsons in the F-106 cockpit simulator with flight helmets on. Operating Hours (Posted) are Wed thru Fri opening at Noon till I guess 4PM. Today is Thursday and there was nobody around and the museum never opened. My family and another family stood around for awhile and no one ever showed up. I have not decided if I'm going to make a written complaint to the Wing HQ or not. I'm quite :onfire over it all. drove 75 miles "one-way" and burned about 14 gallons of gasoline at $4.05 a gallon. Thats about $60.00 worth wasted.I was the museum Administrator/Director for almost 4 years in 1991-1995 and worked close with the Museum Civilian Foundation. Museum was always open during posted hours no matter what. We closed for the annual base airshow only. Attachments:

Boys also check out the F-106 Grandpa used to work on. They had a good time but were disapointed that the museum never opened. Attachments:

Maybe Gene, but the museum has had my address and phone number going back to 1991 (21 years) and they have not changed. With a scheduled appointment and the museum going to be closed I should have been called. I was also told by a person, that should know, that the administrator was on vacation. If that is true there is other folks that should have been able to maintain the hours or call me. I did it for about 4 years as a SR NCO and when I took long military leaves the foundation was always there even when I wasn't.

Gene Thanks, I talked with the museum today. I was told that the administrator called and said he was going on vacation Thursday. He mentioned nothing about the meeting I scheduled with him. The Foundation Member was very sorry and I said no need for the foundation to be sorry, as it was all with the administrator. I have not decided on what action I will take, complaint letter or allow the missed meeting to be made up on some future Saturday when my grandsons are out of school.

Very nice idea! I donated 85 of them to Castle Air Museum and I think they have around 20 left to sell at the Sep Open Cockpit Day. MOW did a great job with that item! Pat P.

If you can do a varied or rotating design, squadron colors would be sharp.
