Thanks to MA-1 troop Bobski for sending this You might remember some of these ... may make tears roll down your cheeks.. A lot of AF stuff, B47, C97, C119, EC121, but also got some Army, Coast Guard, Marine and lots of Navy planes, such as: P-2s, Super Connies, AD1s, S2s, C47s, an OP-2E from VO-67, C-117, A-3s, R4Ds, H-34s, H-19s, F-1s, F-9s, F-8s and F-3s. Anyone remember the F-11 Tiger, or the F-10 Skyknight? Check out the “wee oil spill” from the USS Randolph S-2. Lots of birds from other carriers and stations. You might even recognize the tails. When you get to the bottom, click on page 2 if you have time. Enjoy, Bobski Photos from 1966-19??. www.dhc-2.com/Monthan_Memories.htmlPat P.

Great pictures, but very sad to see so many birds just sitting, and rotting. To think that each of them was state-of-the-art, when it first rolled off the assembly line, and now Pretty sad. I wonder how many of us have parts of them in our houses, as aluminum pans or some other use? I wonder how long it will be before you see row upon row of birds that are now in use. Not very long for some of them. In the end, the desert wins. Jim Too :god_bless_usa

This F-106 at AMARC looks almost like an X-wing fighter from the Star Wars movies.
Unfortunately, this is one of the F-106s (57-2510) that was cut up and sent to the Barry Goldwater Gila Bend, AZ Bomb Range as a "Range Duck". We could have used more B Models on display.
See story here: www.f-106deltadart.com/piwigo/index.php?/category/19
Like the old saying goes, "Friendly fire is not friendly". But at least it was on the practice range.
