Got this note from Marsha:
I’m sending you Steve’s email so you can write each other now that he has and is using his laptop in the hospital.
steve.stephens1@frontier.com
Thank you ---------------------------------------------
I'm sure Steve will enjoy hearing from all of us, and he will try to answer each message.
He reads the posts on the Forum and has posted.
He is pretty-well isolated, as he has no White Blood cells to ward off infections or other bad things.
So, as you can tell by the Stethescope Incident, he is bored.
Keep those messages, cards and prayers flowing his way.
Please continue to pray for Steve, Marsha and their family.

Steve, we're all hoping your sister will be a good donor. In the meantime several of us have checked with multiple medical sources, and we've found that usually for several reasons we arent acceptable donors for ANY recipients. Age, arthritis and other age related symptoms put us on the no-no list, but we'd certainly encourage anyone else to check it out.
Why don't they give you a catheter? I remember whenever I looked at a hospital the stick a catheter in me. Dont they have one long enough for ya? or short enough? :rofl

well..I gotta tell you ...I had the surprise of my life today since I've been here at the local laughing acadamy.....
Gene50 was out shopping for extra ammo or more weapons I guess and picked up a hat from the famed Bull's eye indoor range down in tacoma...I guess he knows I'm a shooter and prevailer of lead but for whatever reason...he sent me a hat with a musical card ......Gene...we've never met and for you to take the time to effort to think of me when the feds are trying to lock up all ammo was just super......I am so humbled for the caring and out pouring of blessings and encouragement is just to awesome.....
thanks Gene....

Well, Steve, you can begin talking with a Russian accent and pretend you are Yul Bryner, start bouncing a basketball and pretend you are ??, or, you can take on the persona of Curly and you can pretend that your team are Moe, Larry and Shemp .
I have a poster of Curly I can send you, but doubt the bulletin board in your room will hold it.

Steve, I'm glad you are only losing your hair and not your sense of humour.
Not being able to laugh at the world and yourself, makes people miserable.
Keep laughing.

Steve First the pin pricking, then peeing then the hair falls out. Don't let anyone with a ratchet and 1/2 inch socket get close to your navel... your ass might fall off next time you go pee. :rofl Did they get the intestinal problem resolved? When you say stem cells is that done with bone marrow transplant? Just curious, I don't suppose they use radiation with that type cancer? They told me during radiation for colon cancer that there was a risk of leukemia in later years. Then I had 12 CT scans over the next 5 years. During radiation, I learned that your "lower unit" needed to point toward your feet or else the blisters would burn it - boy, that smarted for a few weeks. Take care my friend. Two weeks ago we had our whole congregation praying for you. I was out of town last Sunday but will make sure they are on the job again this Sunday. Pat P.

pat...thanks for the prayers from your group....
the intestinal problem is resolved as far as it can right now with the chemo drugs still in my system....once that gets done and the chemo starts to leave....then I should have full mobility of my stomach.....last nite was rough cuz I was in so much pain in the gut...they had to give me more than usual to get me to settle down...
when I say stem cells....what happens is the match donor will get plugged into a machine where they take blood from the donor and remove the stem cells from the blood....it separates the stem cells somehow and returns the blood back to the donor and the stem cells get removed for transplant...... the bone marrow is to see if there is leukemia....that is the only way to tell if one has it other than certain other indicators...but bone marrow tells it definitively...
POSTALRON!!!...got the new orange cap today.....my doc's all thought it was hilarious....I'll get it posted somehow and post it here.....

a few of us were wondering how to get tested? contact your local cancer care aliance group or cancer care center and tell them you want to donate to the data base as a donor...they will send you a package to fill out...and then make an appt to come in and donate stem cells...they test your blood sample and determine where in the data base you fit.....for you ...all it is is a blood draw to test the type and match for stem cells... well...today started out ok....got up..had a rough nite sleeping due to pain...after things settled down and I got up at about 8am....the oncologist came in and said nothing else to report out ..the blood work is right where it's supposed to be and the next bone marrow biopsy was scheduled for monday.....he left and as I had gotten out of the shower, get a call from the same doc and the latest labs from 5am showed the white cells were increasing in numbers....for the past few days it was at zero....well....got the biopsy today at 2pm and we'll probably know something around tues...but the reason for the move up a couple of days is that the white cell count started increasing....albiet rather small numbers but it wasn't expected and this should indicate that the leukemia is gone...and if that's the case...it would mean that the stem cells could be introduced earlier.....I sure pray that is the case...
