Howdy Pilgrims... The Duke here climbing out of my F-94 Starfire to look for my leading lady, Janet Leigh. We're filming Jet Pilot. You can read about it here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jet_Pilot_(film) My pals at Castle Air Museum have been offered a F-94 by the Air Force for display. It has the gun nose and a big engine. The problem is that it's sitting in pieces at Robins Air Museum in Georgia and they have to pay to go get it and bring it home for restoration. That's going to cost about $5,000 and they could use your help. So listen up. Send a check for whatever you can spare to Castle Air Museum F-94 project 5050 Santa Fe Drive Atwater, CA 95340 And tell'em the Duke sent ya.

The Old Sarge has donated this clock on behalf all the members of this Forum to Castle Air Museum to be raffled on May 27 Open Cockpit Day with all proceeds going towards the F-94 Starfire project. I have lost track of all the clocks Jim has built in support of F-106 people, Forum members, USAF Reunions and saving aircraft for museums. But if you click on the picture you will see a number of them. Thanks Old Sarge! Pat P.

A genuine Lavern "Bear" Bruhn cedar chest measuring 24Lx18Wx 14T was donated for raffle to Castle Air Museum Open Cockpit Day with proceeds going to F-94 project. He also threw in some F-106 ball caps he had left over. What a guy! Thanks Bear! Guys, Bear is going in for two heart valve replacements later this month. I told him to let us know the date but knowing him, he won't say anything because he's not "wired" that way. So let's keep him in our thoughts and prayers until we find out he's back at home with wife Signe getting well. He'll have so much more oxygen in his blood he'll find all kinds of new projects to build. Pat P. :god_bless_usa

thanks for the information, bear, and all our prayers go with you. Just dont tweak the head nurse's butt until AFTER the procedures, she might drop kick you to the floor and jump your bones.
Good Luck,

Just wondering how the fund raiser went at Castle Open Cockpit Day? Bear Hi Bear, I am waiting to hear from Dean Rager and Joe Pruzzo on the outcome of Open Cockpit Day (OCD). Both Jim's clock and your Cedar Chest were raffled and there was one ball cap left and a few F-106 key chains. Lou Pizzarello reported that the gift shop did $10k in one day and that the crowd size was 6000 for OCD. Lou won the raffle for Jim's clock (he usually buys a lot of tickets) and promptly gave the clock back to Joe Pruzzo to put in the gift shop to raise more money for CAM. If CAM had 6000 for OCD that is about two times more attendees than they had last year. I will post here when I get the stats from Joe Pruzzo and the picture from the 456th mini-reunion. Thanks to the Old Sarge and Bear for supporting the F-94 project with their hand built masterpieces and to the rest of you who donated bucks to the cause. Pat P.

Bear, I will be praying for you to have smooth sailing to-morrow, and for the Lord to give your surgeon a steady hand, and a clear eye.
Will also pray your recovery goes well, and that you don't push yourself.
