I didn't need an alarm clock this morning. At 7:04 AM I was rudely awakened by the sound of a B-25 flying almost directly over my house at about 1,000'. Then about every 45 seconds another, then another. No I wasn't dreaming, the 70th Reunion of Jimmy Doolittles Raider's is this week at WPAFB Museum. The B-25's staged at Grimes Field in Urbana OH, just North of where I live. I didn't get any shots of my personal flyby, but I went to the Gathering at Grimes on Sunday and Monday and got some shots of them. projects.springfieldnewssun.com/cache/galleries/News/Local/041412doolittle/This is a link to Dayton Daily News from their arrival on Saturday. In addition to B-25's they also have a Zero, couple of P-51's, and P40. This shot was a B-25 landing with 2 P-51 waiting to take off. After P-51's got airborne thay joined up with a B-15 for several flyby's. Awesome. It was hectic Sunday since they were selling rides on B-25. They took 6-7 people per flight and were doing very frequent take-off/landing and taxi. Was great to see, hear and smeel the old piston driven aircraft. Attachments:
