couldnt find the coin thread, so... came arcross this last nite... about the time the 141 was being faded out at mchord, a mx. trooper i knew had these struck... i was lucky enough to get it passed to me on the flightline... i spent most of my life with this a/c... my dad brought the second a/c to tcm when he transitioned from the C 124 as Flight engineer in 1966 or there abouts... it was my main mode of transport during the photolab era... i was a ground loadmaster and the evaluator for the squadron from 85 thru '02... it was one of those a/c that just kept flying :salute :salute :salute

I was stationed at McChord 1980-1983 but worked mainly C-130 Simulator even though I was in charge of both C-141 and C-130. While at Wright Patt we bought a refueling simulator for C-5 / C-141. While largly different size aircraft we were able to do a dual use aircraft simulator. The windows in front and sides are the same between aircraft. C-5 just has a larger center section. We had biggest issue with seats. They have different detents in both up/down position and front/back. But they should be close in structure, both made by same plant.
