I have been baning my gead trying to find a good SIX and T-33 plugin for Flt Sim 2004. No luck. I found a few, but they are all round eye with defective instruments, and performance. Throttle and control surfaces are way off. AB control - well NONE. Anyone know of one. I would love to have the file and I am sick of shelling out fees for download sites promising great AC files, specilifally the SIX.
Thanx AJ

Thanx AJ Hi Daoleguy, I don't know much about MS Flt Sim so I posed your question to Dave Adams (456th FIS) whose son is a big Sim expert. Here's what he says.... Reply from Mark Adams: I haven't gotten close to the MS flight series since Rev 1.0 (4 color CGA... gads!), so I'm not familiar with what's out there for that sim. My only alternative suggestion would be to pick up a copy of Wings Over Vietnam, Wings Over Europe, Strike Fighters Project 1, or Wings Over Israel and add the F-106 Link& F-80 www.column5.us/aircraft2.shtmlfrom Column5's site www.column5.us/and the weapons pack from CombatAce. forum.combatace.com/index.php?autocom=downloads&showcat=340There's also a T-33 add-on out there... might be at Combat Ace. I'm sure it's not perfect, but it's enough to put me in a different world. Mark Adams Hope this helps. Good Luck, Pat Perry 456th FIS

Hello everyone, I am new here and I am a 106 enthusiast who was pointed to this site. I posted another thread regarding the new Alphasim F-106A/B before I noticed this thread so I deleted my original post. I have the Alphasim 106 model and it is quite nice and on par with the current high end graphics for Microsoft Flightsim 2004 and FSX. This model is a bit pricey at $47.00 but most payware models of this caliber range from $30 to $55. There is no 106 model as good as this one payware or freeware. I am hoping that there are some 106 Pilots in this forum who use MSFS2004 or FSX who might give an experts opinion on the model & flight model. If so, please speak up! Also, I am in Wilmington, NC and grew up when the 48th FIS Det 1 was based at New Hanover County Airport(now called Wilmington International Airport) and I'd like to know if anyone has photos of operations there during the time the 106's where there. If so and if possible, I would appreciate if I could get ahold of those photos(via Internet). Reason being is that myself and some other guys are in the process of building scenery for MSFS2004 for the Det 1 base at Wilmington. The old base is still largely intact these days and viewable on Google Earth at the South East corner of the Wilmington Airport.
Looking forward to talking with those of you who served in the Dart Community!
Kindest regards,
BC

Regarding T-33 models for MSFS, there is a good freeware model at either AVSIM or Flightsim.com by Tim Conrad. It is the best one I know of and has good exterior looks and animations as well as a good virtual cockpit. The file name at AVSIM.com is: t-33a.zip and at Flightsim.com it is: T-33_PPP.ZIP.

Hi, I had the earlier model of the Six from Alpha sim and it was OK I guess. I guess it was for FS 2k2, don't remember. I repainted it in 119th colors, so that was fun. Somewhere I've got pictures of it landing at Atlantic City but I'm not sure you can upload pictures. Like I said, the re-paint came out nice. The flight model was very simple and easy and the graphics were average at best. It had a simplified panel that kind of looked like the SIX panel. It seems that the new version, which has a VC, which I can't stand, looks better but not sure if they improved the flight model that much. A lot of companies have generic flight models that they tweak the main parameters such as stall speed, max speed, climb speed, etc for an individual aircraft. Much more cost effective than making a dedicated flight model for each plane. I don't have FSX, I have a pretty high end computer, but not THAT high end to run FSX, so I've stayed with FS9. BRG, Jon
