Oh, thak you very much for that offer! Best would be all. I´m planning to paint all squadrons. Okay! It may take a bit, but it will give me an excuse to get all my decals scanned. I promise I won't overload the forums with all of them at once, but we'll "Get 'er done!" as some of us are fond of saying over here in the States! Here's a couple I have handy, but are photos, not scans. The scans will be much more detailed. Now granted, these are not traditional markings, but you get the idea. The 49th FIS Bicentennial decals are not actually mine, however. I just found them on the 'net, and happen to have them in my Photobucket account.

soulfreak another suggestion would be to visit "microscale.com" and search for F-106. They had pictures of their decalsets; they were not super detailed, but might help in colorschemes & placements. I have also found some decal sets available on e-bay that had some pretty good "product photos". Just some additional places to look.

You know, I was thinking along the same lines with respect to all the photos here, or on Erv's site. www.convairf-106deltadart.com/NOT that I have any problem with scanning the decals, but with the HUNDREDS of photos available between the two sites, there should be plenty of data available. For the detailed information, I'll have the scans when you need them. How about that for a plan?

Scanned Decals 1/48 would be best. I have got the Aeromaster sheet Century Wings in Color - F-106 Delta Dart (48-509)

With work, little league, softball, church, moving Son #1 to Florida, every thing in the house (AC/stove/sink) breaking at once, and only one day off in the past two weeks I really haven't had much time to relax.
Thanks for your patience, and rest assured I have not forgotten.
Have the photos here, and on Erv's site been any help?
Mark

I am currently beta testing a free game called world of warplanes and was searching for combat sims that had the f106 since my dad flew them and were gorgeous and they bring back many memories from my youth.
Curious as to when this plane would be added to your game Sir? I might be interested especially if you can do one from the 49th FIS

I have been searching for the T.O. (not 1-1-4) that covers *all* of the airframe stencil/maintenance/safety data applied to the 106. I know it exists - somewhere. The airplane was literally festooned with stencil data all over it, but I haven't been able to find the documentation on it. There's nothing in the NMUSAF T.O. files and the SD Aerospace Museum doesn't have anything either.
Surely someone out there in Six Land has a copy that shows that stuff???
Tks!

Ugh... J, that question came up a couple months ago, and as I recall even our best experts did not have that reference T.O. It's been on my wish list for years, and drives me crazy not being able to find one. Gotta be one out there somewhere.

J Jennings, I have contacted the only 5 people I know who would know about the F-106 Stencils and Markings TO and scored a zero. Try contacting the public affairs office for Hill AFB, UT; Warner-Robins AFB, GA or Tinker AFB, OK and ask them to connect you with the Tech Order Home Office. Try Tinker first. Maybe some kind hearted airman will help research the F-106 Stencils & Markings TO and find out if one exists in some USAF Archive. See attached TO 00-5-1 from Tinker. Hi Thom Ream, I’m Pat Perry in Flower Mound, TX (in DFW). I just received a copy of the T.O. 1F-106A-4 Illustrated Parts Breakdown. It’s about 1500 two sided pages. I received it from Nolan “Lani” Duquette, one of our forum members and F-106 veteran from Michigan. It will take me awhile to scan the pages into PDF files along with 3 other T.O.s of about 1000 pages so we can put them on Patrick McGee’s website. Patrick is correct. Word of mouth is about the only way we find F-106 T.O.s. We already have the few of them on Patrick’s website that are available on a few other websites across the Internet. This -4 we just received has some info that modelers have been seeking for years which are the small stencils covering the aircraft. It has no graphics of them but most have the words that the stencil or decal contains and shows where they are placed on the aircraft. I have added Jennings Heilig to this email who has been looking for this-4 info. I am a colon cancer survivor since 2004 so I’m sure you already know that nothing beats cancer like maintaining an attitude that you are going to beat it! We’ll keep you in our prayers. Go here and see some others who have been looking for the same stencils and markings. Join the forum. forum.f-106deltadart.com/thread/3215/106-markings-stencil-question Pat P.
